Finally! Finally! Finally!

 

The first step towards citizenship has been completed and the nervous wait is over. To God be the glory!🙏🙏🙏  I work overnight and at 5:15 am, I received text, and email notifications about status update. First week in January filer, Approved 3/20/19. Does USCIS have night shift?

 

I'm not leaving this forum till everyone gets approved.

My NOA is from Dec 22 2017 and WAC18083000**. No movement since June 15 2018, when they "transferred" from California to California...

Today I had combo interview I 751 and N400.

It was overall good. At first he conducted our I-751 interview and my wife was with me , he asked question how we met and what kind of car I’m driving and car she is driving , he said what you guys usually do in the weekend ,and he asked more details about first time we met until the marriage.

then he went through the application and asked if we have any new evidence. I gave him tax transcripts and bank statement , lease and utility bills. 

Then he said if we have any new pictures other than the ones we submitted , my wife said check our Facebook lol.

after that he escorted my wife out and started N400 test, I answered all 6 questions and I passed. 

At the end he said you passed congratulations but decision cannot be made because he did not have time to review I-751 he said if I need more documents I’ll contact you.

He gave a paper I signed it and it checked that I passed , decision cannot be made yet and request for evidence.

That was it.

Back to the waiting game

Question about the card.  Is it a 10 year starting the date card produced or date at the end of old card?

Hi, I got the same update. Did you get anything after this ? Ie card was mailed or case was aporoved . I got „new card is being produced” right after “your name was updated”. But I didn’t get “ your case was approved” . So I’m slightly confused ...

- my case was transfered from california to another office (in california)

- Recieved a letter about a month ago that my old biometrics will be reused:

 

Today out of curiosity and this grueling wait, i called USCIS and requested to speak to an officer (tier 2). The officer told me my case is still pending and that the office processing my case is currently working on august 2017 cases and it will take a few  more months before i hear anything. Right now im soo confused.smh

Finally received a good news today, my case status changed to 

New Card Is Being Produced

On March 21, 2019, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WAC1808700***, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address

Hello! Thank you for the encouragement. I am still waiting for their updates. It remains the same till today Since they updated my DOB and Name last March 13, 2019. I am praying and hoping for the approval soon.

 

Do you think it will be okay if I start my application for N-400 or just wait for my approval first?

 

btw, my case was transferred as well to Nebraska last January 17, 2019. Then followed by the DOB and Name update on March 13, 2019.

 

gees. I hope they make decision pretty soon since it is frustating to wait everyday for their updates.

I have filed for N400 a month ago.

Last week my case status changed to DoB updated and name updated, today my case status changed to "New card is being produced".

From my experience, do not wait for i751 approval and apply for N400

Hello! Thank you for reaponding. I will do it tonight. I am just paranoid that they might transfer back my case again to the local office near me.

btw, if I am going to apply for N-400 should I select the local office near me or should I apply in Nebraska since my i-751 was transferred there.

Hey no problem!

I think you should go ahead and file for it. Mine was filed a little late, when i say late i mean as late as the end of February. I just had my fingerprints done and on DHS website it says estimated time wait (April 2021) lol which I know is not accurate.  DHS website still shows my ROC update from last year lol. At times I wanna think maybe its because i filed my N-400 later than 2yrs 9mo, is why they decided to approve i-751 case first, but I’ve come to realize that there really isnt a pattern when it comes to approvals. Every case is different. That being said and  please anyone correct me if Im wrong but the only thing I noticed is that everyone so far that was sent transferred from CA to Nebraska, has been approved. I suggest we keep 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 And just hang in there , I’m still praying for everyone so that everyone gets approved soon
