If someone would like to add our info that would be great, as I continue to have trouble with this site reloading and crashing.

My husband had his N-400 interview Monday in Buffalo Ny

We weren't originally scheduled for a combo, but after I mentioned it they did it.

it was extremely quick and painless

we recieved all the pertenate emails this morning, he has been scheduled for the oath ceremony and we should receive that letter soon.

The new memo by USCIS actually does not speed up the case processing for us.  The memo does not even apply to us at all because it only applies to all I-751 received on or after December 10, 2018.  People on this thread filed far before that.

 

The memo does not really change what the 2005 Policy Memorandum (PM) suggests.  The 2005 PM issued by the Bush Administration was primarily to address I-751 backlog.  The main difference is that this new 2018 Policy Memorandum issued by the Trump Administration addresses specifically the interview requirement that I-751 must go through the interview (that was not encouraged under the 2005 PM) if the petitioner has not yet been interviewed during the AOS process.  The new 2018 PM only affects those coming in on a K-1 visa primarily because these K-1 spouse generally received an interview waiver once they arrived in the US and filed I-485.  So they are to expect an interview for I-751.

 

On a separate memorandum the Trump Administration also issued is to expand interview for ALL I-485 marriage-based and the majority of I-485 employment-based.  Therefore this specific I-751 interview requirement will be short lived as ALL I-485 marriage-based (including K-1) has now been called for an interview.  Logically then, no one who subsequently file for I-751 will have NOT been interviewed previously.  Therefore, any I-751 (after probably late 2019) will go back to all be eligible for interview waiver, provided that evidence is sufficiently submitted.

My lawyer also informed me that changes of i-751 interview diminished after December memo.

Filed my N 400 ( 12/15/2018)  while I 751 ( NOA  12/13/2017)  is pending (WAC18075  with Transferred to another office on June 18 2017status)   . I had my interview today and happy to note that my 1-751 file is with the CO and yes, it was a combo interview ( my interview  notice was only for N-400). 

My husband and I were called together , asked for our ID's , my GC and passport. Then confirmed our address , it was a cordial conversation like we were asked if we took a vacation etc  . Then the CO told my husband he can leave so she can move on to my N400 interview. 

CO asked me to confirm if my name, date of birth and mailing address  is written correctly  . Then she asked  4  civic questions and told me to  write a short sentence and that was it.  She told me that my 10 year green card will be produced and take it with me on my oath taking. I asked if I can hug her and she said yes. 

 

I will update my timeline once I get an updated status.

 

It has been a long journey and I am thankful, grateful ...and its really true that prayer works!! 

 

I hope this will give a sign of relief to those who are still waiting that it will eventually happen..

Hello! Just an update.. We're Dec 2017 filer.. My wife and I went to i751 interview yesterday with pending n400. The interview went very smoothly and officer was very nice & easygoing.. It only took 15 mins, officer said he will recommend for approval for i751 and we should be receiving a green card in 30 days. Also, he said we should receive a interview letter for n 400 soon. During the interview, he took my wife's conditional green card. As of today, online status still shows case was received at local office.. How long it takes to update online status ? Will they transfer our i751 back to Vermont for green card production ?

My case just transferred AGAIN for the second time  "On March 14 your form I-751 Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction" , I have N-400 interview next week so I am assuming they transferred to my local service center, but who knows

Hey guys!! I got approved today!! 🤗👍👍 Thank God!!   last week My name was updated and so was my DOB, my case was transferred from California to Nebraska on January 17th 2019. My WAC # is WAC18087004## and when I checked for 100 Cases I see some Approvals. My case is in Laguna Niguel CA and hasn't moved since June 2018. Not sure what's going on. My N400 says application being processed. Has Anyone whose case is in Laguna Niguel, CA been approved?
