The letter is for biometric. They scheduled on this March 11, but I will not be home until March 22 :)

I think I will miss the appt and go get it done when I come back. Anyone has experience about getting biometric done later than scheduled time?

I received my biometrics appointment letter today. My biometrics date is 1/29/2018!! What a relief!

Why miss the appointment?  Its not like immigration is going smoothly right now anyway...

Is it for your i-751? Or N400?

If you are still here now and you have the letter in hand, go walk-in on Monday, the delay or reschedule will be against you. Good luck

 I am a December 2017 filer. I filed on 12/19/2017. I have not received any appointment letter for biometerics. I've contacted them two times and they told me, if it's needed, we will let you know. 

On June 18, 2018 my case was transferred to CSC. In July 2018, I moved to another State. In August 2018, I received the 18 month extension letter at my new address. In October 2018, I received another letter similar to the August letter, mentioning the 18 month extension again. Since June 2018, there has not been any movements in my case. I have not received any RFE letter and have not filed for N400 yet.

It is for i-751, never applied for N400. I do not know why they asking for the biometric a year later, maybe I missed the old biometric letter which comes after NOA1 few weeks later.

Yes - I filed 12/1/2017 (sorry got that wrong before). Issue and receive date was 12/4/2017

Ohhh so they want your biometrics for your i-751? So weird! Have you ever received a mail saying they will reuse your old fingerprints?

Then you need to call USCIS and reschedule the appointment, if you just miss it and don’t show up your application will be considered abandoned, so please don’t take that risk, they are flexible in rescheduling so call them

I have read many threads about late biometrics. They were accepted even few weeks later than their scheduled time. It will take more time to reschedule the appointment, so I think I will do a walk-in with my current appointment letter though. I will share my experience about that when I come back and go to local ASC :)
