this is awesome, and I appreciate the help, however from what I read, it doesn't explain whether or not an RFE could be issued due to inability to verify employment based on what is on the g 325.....  this is what I'm concerned about.  and RFE for such thing

I do not have the answer for that, but on the G-325 when we filled out it was to present time that we signed.  So depending on verification if they call employer it may trigger RFE, but I do not know the checks they perform.   If it triggers and RFE then it should be easily to update since the job listed when the application was sent will become within the last 5 years and the new job will become present.

It is not something I have researched maybe someone else will have more information.

Interesting....

If you look up your case on USCIS, it will explain the status, but it usually means that you wrote in and corrected a spelling mistake on your name.... you didn't do that?

Name Was Updated

I (the beneficiary) recently moved myself...I don't know how, but I completely forgot about telling the CSC about it.

A big thank-you for posting this information!! I sent an email to my fiance so that he can fire off a certified letter ASAP.  We are still waiting for our NOA2...maybe this is one instance where this delay comes in handy!!

Thank you so much :)

You don’t have to change your address if you are the beneficiary, if it were the sponsor then yeah because they will receive the hard copy NOA2, but it doesn’t really matter when it comes to the beneficiary, unless you change countries and would be subject to another embassy, I wouldn’t worry.

Isn't the packet mailed to the beneficiary?

The one that tells you all the stuff you have to bring with you to the interview?

It depends on Embassy, some mail to beneficiary the 3rd packet with information to be brought,  others e-mail either the beneficary or USC.  Some you pick up packet at embassy with information.

Yeah - could be.  I've never seen a status in my scans that says "Address was updated", so this is probably the case.

Actually, you cannot use the beneficiary's income as supported proof that they will not become a public charge to the U.S. Only the USC financial income and/or any US sponsor will be used to determine if they meet the poverty requirement.

The beneficiary can bring their money over to help the USC provide support financially, but the I-134 and I-864 is specific to the USC or US sponsor. If they allow or used the beneficiary's source of wealth/income to help with determining the financially responsibility, there would be no need to have additional sponsors.

Keep in mind, whether its the K1, CR1, tourist/visitor, work or student visa - or any other type of visa, there is always a person, employer or agency that is being reviewed to determine that the beneficiary will not become a public charge while being in the US, whether it's for 3 months, 6 months, or until the beneficiary naturalizes. The beneficiary has to be the financial responsibility of some type of US government agency, be it a person, job, or university - until they return back to their country or immigrate and naturalize. Even after you marry your fiancé and they get a job - the USC is still the listed financial sponsor until naturalization. So, for example, if the USC & beneficiary divorce before the beneficiary goes home or becomes a US Citizen and they have to seek out public assistance (i.e., welfare), the USC will be responsible to pay for it.

Not saying that will happen, I'm just pointing out the importance of this part of the process because a lot of times people do not read pass what they see.

You actually can use it. Depends on the embassy but in Japan we can use our own savings as beneficiary.

Edit: hehe I didn't explain well, I meant I don't have to put it in his account or anything but to take my own bank statements as my proof :) I was surprised they would let me but then in japan people have so much in savings it felt normal.
