Out of curiosity, has anyone else had it that their online approval date did not match the one on the NOA2 letter? We were approved Nov 16 on the tracker, it still says that online to this day, nonetheless, when the physical letter arrived, the document states approved Nov 15.

It may take time for the system to catch up to what happens in real life. Maybe you were approved later in the day and the system was notified til the next day

Hmmm... I read somewhere recently that CSC only sends approvals to NVC once a month.

Think there’s any truth to that based on dates approved or do we think NVC is just behind...

... but if hundreds are approved daily, wouldn’t they be sent straight away to NVC

perhaps they all sit in a box at NVC as they do USCIS before they get scanned in.

Ohh my fellow Junebugs.... this process!🤪

My guess is that if they are sent once a month, it still takes time for people to work through them. But I've really no idea.

Hi, I was reading this thread from 2013. People get different answers from the NVC agents lately.

I need some input from you all regarding a co-sponsor if they approve us for an NOA2.  I have a weird situation, I lived abroad until June and began working at my job in July.  From July-December I'll have around 19k in income that will show on my taxes which is right above the poverty line.  I have a stable, permanent job making 42k a year but my tax return won't reflect that this year due to when I started.  Do you think I will still need a co-sponsor?  I'll be slightly above the poverty line in 5 months of work, proof of my yearly salary, 8k in savings and 1k in my 401k.

Just gonna bump this question.  Any input would be much appreciated

I think this is where I letter from your HR would come in. They can verify your yearly income.

Agree. I went through Rapid Visa and they told me a Letter from my boss stating my employment date, my yearly income, and my employment status printed on company letterhead and signed and dated should be sufficient along with whatever taxes i could show. I'm in a similar situation because of a new job and was going back to school for a couple years, so last years taxes showed low income. However, as long as this is taking I will have this years taxes to show, too. :D

Hey Junebugs,

My fiance will be sending a letter to his congressman on Monday. I'm using the letter kindly posted here by @Lana&Tyler as a template, with some adjustments in personal circumstances i.e. we are older and I'm from Canada, etc.

Could I get some input as to whether we should mention the now-additional 6 week delay in getting the approved petitions sent to the NVC for processing? Would it be pushing it to add a complaint/concern about this or is it not worth mentioning?

I read somewhere in here that we can ask the embassy (is it the embassy?) for an extension, so I'm not sure it's ALL that much of a problem. What do y'all think?

My poor fiance works ridiculous hours and is relying on me to guide the letter-writing. I don't want to steer him wrong and hurt our chances of getting help due to my rampant, overly-fervent paranoid imagination rearing its ugly head. :P

Thanks peeps  :)

They misplaced your check? Like that you used to pay? Didn't they already cash it?
