Oh  Jesus,  now it's my turn to freak out...I'm just reading the  VJ  i-129F guide (which we didn't use when we did the petition...we used a book and I don't remember what it said in the book about this) and I realized that my fiance sent the only copy of our i129F to the USCIS with our petition. I mean, he sent the whole original thing and we don't have any copies of the package we sent, whatsoever.

I'm wracking my brain to remember what was there...boarding passes and dinner receipts, for sure. Originals.  There were photos too, but those can be reproduced...and the paperwork itself can be reproduced...is this going to be a problem?

Thoughts? Hand holding? Someone...anyone...? :crying:

Calm down please.

They won’t need the I-129f form during the interview. They would only need the evidence of your relationship, the petitioner’s affidavit of support with legal documents to prove it, DS-160, police certificates, etc.

I love Seinfeld, and Newman and George were my favorites. With that said, this gif from last night was for a good reason, I'm surprised you guys didn't catch on....

Yesterday I had a biggest day of my life. My cute little Mrs. Squirrel has been APPROVED! I came home late, seen the letter, and posted that gif. I was just overwhelmed to write anything, feeling of relief like no other.

With that said, LOOK OUT FOR YOUR MAILMAN !!! No email, no app update, no scan update .... nothing .... just good ol' Newman the mailman. Date on the letter is June 4th Monday.

Can't write much now, will fill you in on details tonight when I get home. I truly appreciate you guys, love you all and will be here until we are all gone. Thanks for accepting me as an equal!

May God bless America !

YYYYAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!! Congrats!

So you're panicking cause you don't have another copy of your documents?

They usually say to do that in case your application gets lost, but if your application is received and no RFE yet, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Yes, momentary panic because he just sent it all off without making any copies of anything. Actually I kind of remember thinking that wasn't a great idea at the time, but I completely forgot about it until now.

So... the only reason the guide says to take copies and keep originals is just in case the USCIS loses the whole packet...? Because, we can fill the forms in again and produce copies of the photographs and all that, but obviously, not reproduce the original dinner receipts or boarding passes.

But perhaps that doesn't matter, if we just have to prove again that we've met within two years anyway. We have more recent photos together and receipts etc. So maybe it's okay even if they do lose our petition.

Okay...so as long as they don't require the whole original package at some point, then we should be okay.

OMG this process is brutal.  I'm sorry for freaking out guys.

What an incredible roller-coaster this is...  PLZ I WANT OFF THIS RIDE NOW PLZ    :P

Thank you @purplepink and @msscarlette  for holding my hand (L)(L)

Oh my gosh, I thought I'd be the only one! My fella is terrible unless given specific instructions and I'm there to remind him, so no copy. Luckily he'd sent me all the pics he was using, and all the plane tickets are on email, but I was so annoyed that he'd not duplicated it! I've printed out all the photos plus extras with family (no more than 10 in case they get annoyed with all the info) and proof of the continuing relationship, plus any wedding plans we've got. Just NOA2 waiting now, very impatiently! Everyone freaks out once in a while with this process, it's stressful and it takes it's toll, but eventually, we will all be with our loved ones <3

Me neither.

Oh yeah, Montreal gets tons of snow. You gotta drive, huh? Yeesh! I hope the roads are good shape for you.

I'm gonna take the train. Yep, nice relaxing ride on Via, wi-fi and food and stuff. Kick back, relax.  Or at least, I'll relax on the way back, once I'm approved.

Oh who's kidding who...I'm not gonna relax until I'm home in Columbus, curled up watching movies with my American, with the POE and this whole nightmare behind us :P

Some people are just Zen-like in their ability to not worry. I'm kind of up and down with it. Mostly okay but sometimes...not so much. Argh!!  :P

Thanks for the words of support and good luck to you too, fellow Junebugs. :)

Would taking the train be easier?

I'm just afraid of the walking I'd have to do to get to the hotel or to the embassy.

I am genuinely praying there is no snow storm, or something. I may even go a day earlier just to be safe.

Maybe stop at The Big Apple in Colborne. YUM!

I think the train would be easier on my nerves, for sure. Especially if it's snowing heavily. They run daily and they're cheap. For me, I think it's the best bet.

I was thinking to go a day earlier too. Just splurge for a hotel room and try to make a mini-vacay out of it.  Although I know I won't feel very holiday-ish until it's over and I know I'm approved and heading south shortly after.

I'm taking a cab from the train station to the hotel, wherever that may be. I'll try to find a close one. There are lots of reviews online from other K1 people about hotels close to the embassy.

Oh the Big Apple LOL! I've never been, but I hear good things about their pies. :)
