Okay family... now what?

ive lost my mind a bit and have no clue where to go from here.

is there a way to track my case from USCIS to NVC?

Do I just start calling NVC in a few weeks.

Can my fiancé set up his medical and interview and just cancel a week prior and reschedule if the UK embassy doesn’t have his stuff yet.

sorry all, I’m going a bit mad at the moment🤪

AHHHH I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! Congratulations!:dance:Welcome in the new waiting room...We are waiting 22 days already, no case number so far. USCIS takes their sweet time to send those petitions, too.

Sooo I just got done writing the letter to our congressman. I think it’s a little bit too passionate but that’s just who I am.

Just for you guys out there that are wondering what to put in your letter. Maybe this will give you a little inspiration.

I hope this will help us.

181 and counting.

I personally don't think that's too passionate at all

That’s about how the one I wrote looks, but think yours sounds better.

Thanks. I tried to describe the situation best I could without swearing and going off. I send it to my man and he’ll be sending it out tomorrow. I’m better with words than he is even though I’m German lol.

Praying for all of us.

Nice letter, I had to contact my Member of Parliament here in the UK because the Land Registry were taking 6 months to deal with registrations (there must be something about 6 months and Governments!)   strangely enough they replied saying they had a back log and were working on my case, just coincides of course, but having someone "above" them asking questions seems to worry them.  it seems if you want something doing you have to hassle to get It done. good luck!

They seem to have touched 300 cases since the 1st of December which isn't too bad when they are still working on May and the remaining April cases. At least they are looking at more cases a day than they were September time.

So they completed 300 cases in the past 6 days....that's nothing compared to how many cases are waiting....will the normal processing time just keep on increasing? I don't get this....

This letter is everything!! Not too passionate at all....stating the truth!! in my opinion, as many US Citizens going through this process as possible should send this in....maybe cause a change for the future filers if not us...

Tell me about it, there are 12000 cases before they get to ours in mid September, the 300 cases are just June that's not counting May and April, I am not defending the terrible service in any way, I am  just trying to find a glimmer of hope! IF they can deal with 150 a day they might just lower the wait time since June, July and August have @ 3500 cases each.

Hey Darl!

You will need the LND number from the NVC before you can book the medical.

Start calling NVC in a couple of weeks.

Once medical is booked then book the interview for 7 days after his medical appointment date.

Then complete the DS-160 and submit.

In the meantime, get his paperwork together - his police certificate (does he need a separate UK military one??).

And you will need to complete the I-134 Affidavit of Support with your 2016 W2 tax return for him to take to the interview.

Again, CONGRATULATIONS! 🎉

Day 188 according to Case Tracker.

I think that is a very good letter, @Lana&Tyler.  I'll see if my fiance will be willing to do the same.

I know we'll all get there, but with especially with the increased NVC time now, it is certainly an inhumane and tortuous wait.
