There have been a few people asking so I’m posting this here for info to show it really isnt AS bad as it sounds, although this article doesn’t really refer to the visa process specifically but it does talk about the Dept of State, which includes NVC and embassy staff.

Well I just learned that USPS is funded by those junk mail hence wont close during a shutdown... so I'm ok with the junk mail for now, thanks.

That is awesome.  I generally just throw it straight into the garbage. I will do that for the mail person and the environment.

I love seeing those 150+ days.  I know they they did some shifting of workload so maybe that will start paying off.  I did read in another thread that USCIS did site the re-prioritization in April as the cause for the huge backlog.  It was nice to see them at least acknowledge the slowdown.  

 

Lets see a  200 today!

Maybe the "real" (updated + Straight to mailbox cases) amount of Case received only is under or around 1000 left ?
