Is that why yours is taking so long cuz you are bringing the kids also? or it is just uscis?

There is old info here that says it helps because they get credit for multiple approvals with a single petition. That is from the q&a with the former adjudicator. That was an older thread so it may have changed. I don’t know why it would add time since they are young and neither have records. Who knows?

LETS TALK CHILDREN.....

I was just wondering how many kids were stuck in this mess with us.....

How many  of you have children with each other?

How many are with someone that have children?
How old are they?
Will there schoolwork be in trouble because of the longer then expected wait?

Are they OK with moving to another country?

She(beneficiary) has 1 and I (sponsor) have three. The schoolwork is of particular interest because China is way more advanced than the USA. I live in Massachusetts which has just about the highest standards around but my sons noticed that their future little sister is running about 2-3 grades ahead.  Then there's the whole language issue.  For a 3rd grader, not  so sure there's going to be a big cultural issue as my town is extremely loaded with immigrants .... maybe in a few years some heavy issues may pop up. As with all things with kids .. we sort of squelch all things that are more than 2 weeks away ... kids just don't deal with impending future events.  On the flip side .. I have to make major changes to my house ahead of time so my little guys know that something huge this way comes ... 3 boys bracing for impact with the arrival of a step mom and step sister .... should be interesting just on that issue !!!!

I see bringing kids as an absolute bonus. Almost 0% chance of fraud .. that's how I'd think about it.

LETS GET ROMANTIC......
New to this thread. Trying to get to know all my new VJ friends.

How did you meet? How long did you date before you decided to marry?

Would love you to describe the proposal

I met my fiance' while serving as a missionary in Batangas City, Philippines. He is a member of the house church I was partnered with. We became friends there and maintained our friendship once I returned to the States via Skype and FB messenger. We were "just friends" for about a year before he told me of his feelings for me. This was May 2016. We spent time getting to know each other better and by September 2016, I had booked a trip to visit in December of that year. While visiting, we talked about marriage and wanted to wait until he was done with college and I was done with graduate school. Our timeline was about 2 years until we would get married. I returned to the States towards the end of December 2016. It was so hard to leave. By Feb 2017, I booked another trip to visit my fiance' again. By this time, our 2 year plan was out the window. I visited again July 17-August 4, 2017. He proposed on July 19th. (We submitted our petition before the official engagement). And now here were are. 200 days to NOA 2. 26 day (and counting) for NVC. I am visiting him in 26 days. Our story is short and sweet. :)

Met my fiancé while volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in El Salvador. (We've been in numerous builds since - some of which I led.)

Kept in touch for over a year before we started dating 7 years ago. June 2017 - while we were on a house hunting trip in Hawaii, he made it official by putting a ring on it & I became his Feyoncé :D

Yes but not soon enough (even though I know how fortunate we've been and feel a bit guilty about that!)
