Waiting on a response from them too which is approximately 45 days.

I can't believe they're creating extra wait time for something you're inquiring because of a long wait time!

I'm so sorry.

Your patience is something out of this world I don't know what to say.

This is utterly rubbish... Seriously! What is happening and I cant bet also that they said you case is within the normal processing time. Did they say that?

No my case is outside of normal processing. I'm a may filer (May 23rd). I submitted an inquiry when the processing chart changed and the response I got back was that they couldn't provide a timeframe on when my case would be adjudicated but that they are working hard and promptly to get through their backlog. Which is why I contacted the Ombudsman.

Trust me, I'm actively calling them every week...USCIS has logged every call.

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

Thanks, but regarding my patience.....no, I don't have any left. I'm actually numb and completely nostalgic to this whole process. The same 45 days I'm waiting for a response back from the Ombudsman is the same amount of time USCIS told me over the phone last Wednesday to wait and call back to submit an inquiry should I not have received anything so that basically another 5 weeks.

I tried to make an appointment at either Dover or Philadelphia field office via infopass but of course they don't have any appointment times for me to schedule for at least a month - which going to a field office would be a waste because they can't do anymore than I have done other than inquire about my case and tell me the same information I'm told weekly over the phone. So, there's really not much more I can do but just wait.

I pray for you everyday.  There is also a May 13 filer I talked to yesterday still waiting.  I feel bad about me worrying about my day 226 when you are at 241 and they are at 250.  My heart goes out to you.  Please be strong.  We are there with you.

Thank you so much, definitely means a lot! It's quite of few of us still waiting. Truthfully, I welcome a RFE at this point and would so excited for one to the point you'd think I got approved. But something tells me I'm not waiting on a RFE because USCIS seems to be dishing them out to stall for more time on a case (just my personal opinion - not fact).

So, I battle with saying to myself every day, I shouldn't be getting a NOID because we meet all the requirements for K1 so I really don't see that being a decision I would get.  But for every day that passes, the doubt starts to set in because they don't provide a reason for the wait. It's the uncertainty that is driving me crazy because as much research I have done and continue to do about this process, I just don't understand what or why. If I would have been told in my inquiry response that my case is pending due to background checks - as much as I would have been shocked for that reason, at least they GAVE ME A REASON. But for my inquiry response to say that at this time we can provide a timeframe on when my case will be adjudicated but they are working as hard and prompt as possible to get to my case made me feel even more stuck than I already did. Others that put in their inquiry at least got a timeframe saying you should hear something back in 45 or 60 days or your case is pending due to background security but me....I didn't get anything. And then calling them after I got inquiry response to have Tier 2 explain what my response means only for them to tell me what I already read 10 times when I got my response.

So, who knows what is gonna happen at this time!

I believe the NOA2 is just going to show up.  No explanation.  Just approved like it is any other day.  When that happens, just smile and forget the past.  Keep moving forward, even if that is at a crawl.  This journey is just a test.  It separates the men from the boys and the woman from the girls.  Be strong and persevere.  We are all there with you and we are all waiting for you to finally get on with your life.

You sounded just like my fiancé when you said that part about it being a crawl. You're absolutely right. After coming back this past Monday from visiting my fiancé for 10 days, it was what I needed to keep moving forward. We are surviving this process so I know our relationship will survive any future test of time.

Thank you again and I'm keeping you and your fiancé in my prayers as well!

I got back from the Philippines for a visit last month.  The visit was amazing but it made me miss them more than ever.  I'd imagine you are feeling the same.  Just remember that someday you will be in each others arms.  This is out of your control so you have to focus on each other and not the process.  Soon you will be able to hold each other and laugh at what you have gone through.

I am a June 6th Filer.  I am in shock to inform you all that I (we) were approved on January 11th and the approval was sitting in our mailbox today, January 17th.  What a long, difficult journey it has been,  The website never updated and  it still indicates "received."

All I can say is that to all my brothers and sisters out there that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it's not another train!  You may be approved and you do not know it.  Keep faith, keep checking the mailbox and god bless you and I wish you all the  best of luck on this journey.

Btw, the long wait seems to be just a delay from a ton of applicants, it's not you, it is what it is, keep faith.

Nice to see another Naija moving along. I will be right there behind you

@Trinab80 I actually had more results by going the local office than I ever did on the phone or email. I was able to get an appointment to an office close to my designated one since that one had no appointments left. I also Visited the website at early hours (3-4 am) and saw different time slots where there were none
