Exactly what we'll do. Hopefully it's not something too complicated. We already expected an RFE, we'll get it done and overnight it.

 

Once they get our response, it takes 2 weeks to get the results, right?

I called NVC last night out of curiosity and was told that my case hasn't been received. We were approved on 12/23 and I will be visiting in 3 weeks! Looking forward to your update!!

I hope many people out visajourney are getting approvals. The movement here hasn’t been too good lately as the first week of Jan

I think it is quicker.  2 weeks for the letter but if you call they should tell you sooner.  How long did it take vocaledge?

I see cases are being approved now even in July... so I am just confused on if an officer is actually working on the case or not... she said, “your case is still in processing and an officer is still working on it” and I asked, so it has been assigned to someone already, she said “yes, it’s assigned” then I asked, when was it assigned?” She responds “june 29th 2017” so then i ask her, “so cases are assigned as they are received?” She says “yes, the only thing you can do at this time is wait”

I lost track on how long it took for Vocaledge, but I really hope it's less than two weeks.

I’m a June 8 filer and was told my case was assigned on the beginning of December

It seems like they do not have a consistent answer and the information they provide is to be taken with a grain of salt... 😢

For every one approval here there are 12.5 out there!!!!  We are about 8% of all filers.

July has 15 approvals so far.  They have 3797 filers. (based on scans that are most likely not 100% true...)

Did you ended up writing to your congress person? And do you know anything about the asignation of cases and dates?  I thought cases were assigned later in the process... now I am just confused.

Hi, I received my NOA2 last Nov 25th just waiting for NVC to send my case to the Embassy.

I did write and call my Congressman.  The files get assigned at USCIS for review.  Until then they basically just sit in a box.  Review is usually quick but the adjudicator gets assigned enough files to last about 10 days.  So worse case once assigned should be 10 days with the exception of RFEs and additional background checks, if required.
