As far as I can tell....USA is the most difficult country to enter...more then Russia and China!

(I haven't tried N Korea yet😅)

Australia and New Zealand are pretty tough too. The only way to bring your partner over is to have proof of living together a minimum of 1 year (hence us choosing the USA), if you have not it is a automatic denial, the only other option is by a job offer that earns over 55k and you must have met the required points on top of that. You also have to do an English test with a score over 75% to qualify for permanent residency which you have to hold for a minimum of 5 years before you can apply to become a citizen. The benefit of holding either New Zealand or Australian citizenship is permanent residency in the other country, example I have NZ citizenship and so can travel to Australia and have permanent residency, the same for Australian citizens in regards to NZ permanent residency.

I've never been down there to 🇦🇺 Or  🇳🇿 But I've heard that their borders and customs are more friendly at least 😉

Perpetual self deprecating sarcasm - its a way of life!

I spoke to a person above Tier2, I’m informed my case was transmitted to the NVC yesterday. It was either faxed or mailed, no time to call NVC yet and verify.

I plan to call this evening

So gone are the days when Tier 2 rep will call you back within few hours. My fiancé was told that he will get a call back within 3 DAYS!

On Friday I was told 3 to 5 days for a call back.  This is day 5.  Nothing yet.

Same, still waiting. I logged in online and it says my "Other - Tier 1, referral number" has not been assigned for processing yet.

Yes, I’m happy however will reserve my celebration until it’s in NVC system.

The person I spoke with was fantastic. They were giving me advice on all the steps which follow at NVC and embassy. We knew it already however it was much appreciated.

WONDERFUL!

Things are just getting better and better over at USCIS (insert sarcastic smile here).

I called today and a Tier 2 officer called me back.  Anyway... the only new info I learned is that our cases are assigned as they are received. The officer said that cases get assigned to the officers as they are received. To me that would explain why cases are not worked exactly in order, or why some cases may be taking way longer, maybe officer is sick or something happened or things of that nature... I am June 29th and have not had any other news.
