Ahah Thank you for asking

Well, He called USCIS thrusday and coudnt get a tier 2 (military number tho).. They just told him to change his address on USCIS website.. So we are now waiting for a APO address where he is currently based to update online. Hope this will work !!

Nobody can take his mails at his house in US..

An NOA2 sitting there is not that bad as the transfer to NVC is "automatic".. It's an RFE that I fear.. How can we respond if we do not know about it ?! And now they decide to not update case status online anymore.. <_<

We are not in the rush anymore I'd say, we just want to know what's going on..

Edit : Do you know how long do we have to respond an RFE once (if) received ?

Yeah I am afraid of rfe for you too (although I really hope it won't be the case)

i think it was 30 days, and that's why I got worried, cause I remember sending things through military was 2 weeks. But maybe I'm wrong, @vocaledge do you remember how long it was?

Can he call uscis during that time at least? To ask on the phone maybe once a week if there's an rfe or not? I hope you'll get it before that tho...

Thats what I think.. 30 days.. Only several VJ timelines shows ppl who sent response to RFE way more than 30 days later (I have seen people taking 2months for it maybe bc of hard and long evidences to get?!)

I thought to leave him a week just to get used to this new place, get off jet lag, get an APO, so when he calls back it will be with more "tools", he feels helpless and this plus the deployment has leaded us to tensions we never had before.. Yes I will tell him to call back friday or early next week tho

I pray it's more than 30 days.. :(

I'm so sorry 😐 I hope things will go smoother and we won't even be thinking about those 30 days.

Ok I've just found this on USCIS website, now let's see if they would respect that !!

Thank you very much for your words !!

In compliance with 8 CFR 103.2(b)(8), (11), and (13) the guidelines below provide general timeframes for applicants or petitioners to respond to RFEs. The maximum response time for an RFE remains 12 weeks (84 days). Due to the relatively short processing times required by the Form I-539 Request to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status, a response time of only 30 days will apply to RFEs related to Form I-539 filings. The standard response time for all other form types is 84 days. Adjudicators may reduce the standard response time only after obtaining supervisory concurrence. This discretion should be used on a case-by-case basis when warranted by circumstances as determined by the adjudicator and the supervisor.

I know, it’s hard having no idea where things are at with your case...etc...I’m still waiting too

It's starting to get pretty depressing.  My big fear is the visa won't work out and I'll have to end my career to be together again.  It wouldn't be difficult to live with her down there, but my odds of ever getting a decent job there and be able to support us are slim to none

Where are you able to see cases approved today or yesterday by case number?

they are not updating the system. Yesterday was a holiday so nothing happened and today they didn't update anything online yet. And they don't update much anymore... so no one has info but the mails come to your mailbox..

but if you meant which app: case tracker

Yes, that’s the biggest fear for sure...to go through all this waiting and not have things work out...but the likelihood of things working out are good, so we just have to keep hoping we’ll have news soon! B-)
