Does anyone know if that is the case for the Tokyo Embassy?

we know various embassies have different policy as far as scheduling you have to check each one.  But what I'm wondering is if they can even have to paperwork from NVC that quickly

As long as you receive their mail, scheduling the medical is easy (chose early hours) and for interview it's about luck but they have hours just for k1 so it's rather easy to schedule. And always check for reschedule. I believe 1 month the worst (depending on how fast you move too)

* and its japan receiving anything here is easy and quick ;)

This makes me feel a little better. I got NOA2 on January 5th and looking at visa journey I was thinking that he might not be able to get here until mid April. My sister is getting married on April 15th and I would really like to be able to go together.

InEngland, as soon as I get that NVC case number, I can have the medical pretty much next day, definitely within a week, and interview 5 days after that...

Hoping that a stroke of luck (and a persistent fiancé) can get the NVC number before the end of Jan, and then I can fly back with him at end of Feb... will probably be a little after, like, a week or two, but it's nice to have hope again

The New Zealand Consulate is pretty fast too. I will be booking my medical as soon as we have our number but NVC still has to send it to the consulate who then has to send me packet 3 and I send it back and get packet 4. We have a NOA2 date of Dec 13 and are still waiting for NVC to receive our case. I would LOVE if we had a number by end of Jan and we can close the distance by end of Feb. I'm tired and teary eyed everyday waiting. Haven't seen him since August. Gotta keep being patient a little bit longer.

The timelines on VJ say that after case number is 7 days of processing, and then an average of 4 days for the paperwork to arrive at the consulate. Don't really know how that translates for us, but...?

Oooooooh, does this mean you will be one of the first people to go to the shiny, new embassy building?

I tried to make an account on the website just to see what the dates look like for scheduling an interview, but I guess you have to have all the information before you can see openings.

Oh well. :P
