Keep in mind that they don’t care about us or how long this takes. The longer the better. They can use security as the reason but they don’t need a reason. This is how it is right now. Immigration is a 4 letter word. Some May filers are almost at 240. We are at 224. There is really nothing we can do about it.

Sad reality 😭

I hope they fix this soon.

Hang in there. You will go crazy trying to analyze and understand what's going on.

Tony and I still talk and plan about simple wedding details like the dress and suit we're going to wear. We are going to get those next month, here in Manila. We've also chosen our wedding bands, which we will get from an online retailer based in NY.

It's fun and it keeps our mind off of the long wait. We will first have a courthouse wedding in WA just so we get to comply with the 90-day condition. Then, we will have an intimate church ceremony and reception in HI, with families and friends. That needs some serious planning so we're going to do it in spring of 2019 - the original plan was summer of 2018.

The wait just made me anxious that’s all.

We’ll have a courthouse wedding too, and then probably a church wedding after 2 years. That was the original plan. :)

Aww. Poor cat!  But thanks! :D

It was midnight when he told me, and as I'm living with my parents for the time being - my dad was still up and when he came upstairs I was literally jumping up and down and he had no idea what was going on. Once I told him, he started laughing at me because of my reaction

I’m trying to look at the positive amongst their total disregard for us in this process and all I could come up with is that I have a new found deep sympathy for immigrants and immigration. I never knew the extent of how torturous it can feel to have your fate in a government’s hands. I sometimes get so upset over this process it’s hard to get out of bed, and yet I have it good. My loved one is safe. After this process I would really love to help immigrants and immigration somehow.

I have a new appreciation of what the inmates go through when they have done everything that is required for parole and are waiting to hear back from the board.  Especially if they had a successful interview, they want to see their family, they have a job waiting and the “green sheet”  seems lost in the mail and everyone is “spinning” them.  I know I am not one for spinning people.  I could never work for USCIS because I’d be wanting to get to the bottom of things for people and get answers and not read a script or pass the buck.
