Annoyed, frustrated, impatient, sad - but trying to hang in there!

We decided to cancel our wedding date for end April. Too much stress and although still possible to have my VOH before then, there's too much uncertainty. We might be waiting for NOA2 for another who knows how many days :( We'll rethink the date once we're further along.

Mr Fiance is not concerned anymore at all (now that the date pressure is gone). He's telling me to be patient, it'll come when it comes. And while his peace gives me peace, I'm getting a little frustrated that we're not really on the same page in terms of taking action.

Calling CSC is difficult for him due to work, and even then - I don't know how much use it is apart from maybe finding out we're approved or whether we have an RFE coming. We'll get the hard copy in the mail anyway. I've therefore not pushed him yet to try to call whenever he might have a couple min.

I've also drafted a letter for his senator and have filled out the Privacy Consent form thing, so all he has to do is print, sign, scan and send off, but he wants to wait another week before sending. I don't see the difference in sending now or waiting another week. Oh well....

I just wish that I could take action myself!

*Sigh. Just waitingggg......

Thanks for asking (L)

I feel you. We booked our venue for August and I'm thinking about canceling or pushing it back. It's just adding stress to this situation. I'm way behind based on all the timelines of what you're "supposed" to do 7 months out. It's just that planning a wedding really isn't that fun when the fiance isn't around to help or really get a sense of what's going on. Plus if he gets here in June (relatively best case scenario) then there's not that much time for any of his family to get visas and attend.

Plus we could get stuck in AP at any stage and then there's the risk of there being no groom at all.  :(

Hi Guys!

I am hoping that you, especially UK-filers, can help us with the RFE that we just received today.

Just a bit of history, my fiancé and his ex-wife are both Americans, married in the US, work transfer in UK back in 1996, their divorce was finalized also in UK in 1997. To show proof that my fiancé's prior marriage was terminated, we sent a Certificate making Decree Nisi Absolute (Divorce) - it contains a seal from The Family Court and handwritten dates but no signature. The RFE that my fiancé received today stated that that Certificate does not suffice, what they (USCIS) need is a copy of the final divorce decree signed by a judge or magistrate that shows proof of filing that terminated the prior marriage of my fiancé and his ex-wife.  Where and how can my fiancé obtain this document bearing a judge's signature?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi all sorry haven’t been on here in awhile would of really thought we would have NOA2 by now. But we received our NOA1 back on the 27th of June 2017, any ideas when NOA2 will be arriving in the Mail been nearly 200 days now which I think is ridiculous. I’m not gonna bother checking the app anymore

Nothing  we can do than waiting  waiting, I am June  29th  beneficiary, this has turned  to a torture  now. I promised  myself  not to check  the app anymore, but  I find  myself  going  back  to it, hoping  it might  be my lucky  day:(

Your not alone.  We're all hanging by a thread.  But personally I would agree with you to ditch the app.  It doesn't seem reliable at this point.  I know there are many good folks here (myself included) that have gotten approved this week with no electronic update whatsoever so far.  Just keep up checking your mailbox!  And sign up for USPS Informed delivery if you haven't already, that way you will know if something is there and if it's an RFE you can get on top of it ASAP.

I know this is not accurate but it’s just crazy. 6/30 is one of the days with a huge amount of I-129F applications. 😭

Hoping for a better week next week.

I did further research on this topic and found info here:

I thought I'll share in case others will find this useful. Others lost a considerable amount of time because of this.

Hi, I have to say I have the same worry when I didn't see the decree absolute signed, we just sent a copy of the paper work with our petition in September when we filed. but my lawyer says that is the only paper work I will get and it is all legal, I did feel very underwhelmed when I opened the envelope and there were only  two sheets for paper and a covering letter, I am not sure what I expected, but it wasn't that!

Please keep us updated as to the outcome of the RFE, I have had a look on the 'net for any information about signatures but I haven't found anything, maybe a covering letter from your divorce lawyer explaining UK law might help the USCIS?
