Excellent news! Let me know what it says... I bet it’s gonna be an easy fix despite all those worries :-)

I hope the angels hear your words @vocaledge this has really been a very interesting journey, never in a million years did I  think it would be this emotional and full of turnmoil.

I was approved on the 11th....and they spelled my fiance's middle name incorrectly. They switched two letters around. I made an inquiry about a month ago and they asked for a passport/birth certificate as proof. I faxed that in two weeks ago and I just got off the phone with a Tier 2 officer who told me his middle name is still incorrect, she has no idea if my fax was received, she thought our case was NVC and then back track by saying it takes six weeks, then she said it could take 30 days to switch two letters around, then she said my case will be sent off to NVC and it'll be up to them if it doesn't get fixed soon.... I don't know what to do and I am freaking out. His middle name is WILLIAM ffs and they spelled it as WILLAIM. What do I do???

Do a search here for name mis-spelling,  usually not a problem you just have to mention the error during the interview.  that is where you have birth records and other paper work.    you can also write (e-mail) the NVC once it is in their hands there to have the name changed.

A lot of people who did an inquiry has been touched, and a lot who didn't do hasn't been. Stop looking for a blame in yourself this has nothing to do with your actions.

I tried to do an online inquiry, but it said our case was within normal processing times.  I thought that was only if your case had an action performed in the last 6 months, and we are 195 days since our NOA1 received date, but I guess I am wrong.  I am going to call tomorrow and bear through the wait time.  It is nice to see some other late June filers have their cases approved.  Hopefully this post will shake up some positivity in the Universe and USCIS will process our case soon!  Good luck everyone! Let's burn some sage, do some bureaucratic lucky dances, and align our chakras for some Immigration good luck...

I-129F Sent: June 22nd, 2017 (via attorney) :D

I-129F Received: June 30th, 2017 (USCIS date) :)

I-129F NOA1: July 5th, 2017 (VJ date)

Unfortunately your case is in normal processing times.

because it is not based on how much you waited but their websites processing times information (yes it is ridiculous... but so uscis)

so as long as it says june 1 on their official website you can't (or at least won't get a different answer from them) do your inquiry. But trying the phone is not a bad idea some even learnt they got approved on the phone.

*the above inquiry was about the time they mistook that and put September 1 accidentally - and changed back to May later.

Need some input.  I know I'm probably another month or two from an NOA2 at this point.  I'm visiting my fiance down in Brazil for a few weeks in the middle of February.  Should I bring all of my financial documents and things like that? Or would I need to send documents that were closer to the actual interview date? (If the application is even approved by USCIS)

I see.  So to confirm I understand, I could only submit an online case inquiry if the Processing Date listed on their website was AFTER my NOA1 received date - or the last 'action' date on our case.  Is that right?  If only I knew their case volume was going to skyrocket and speed was going to go all Paul Revere on us, I would have filed back in April! #hindsight  Thanks for the info!

Yep - I don't think last action matters though unless it is an rfe (because that has a 60 day maximum to reply or something similar to that) but calling can be fruitful. Unlike online inquiries, when you call and reach a tier 2, sometimes you get better answer (also sometimes they lie 🤷‍♀️)

I sooooo feel you there.

We got engaged in May 4, we waited to file till September. So I won't have my visa too early for the wedding date in mind...

now moving my wedding date just in case 🤣🤣🤣
