What I don't understand is the USCIS website and the telephone reps both say "...we process cases in the order they are received."  So I am 23 June, if I haven't received my adjudication, there should be no July cases being processed.  I know USCIS is really doing their best, its just demoralizing and depressing on a daily basis to wait in despair.  But what can we do...  the process is a test to every relationship, making them stronger, testing the fidelity.  But I swear, I haven't felt this type of mental and emotional anguish since serving in Bosnia in the 90's where I witnessed some of the worst humanity man had to offer.  This uninformed waiting is worst.  I feel like jumping off a bridge.  :(

I was noticing the same thing but I figured there was an old school adjudicator who wants to do things their way and send out paper approvals thru USPS. So I’m thinking two weeks at most. I’m a June 23rd filer also. Only thing i can imagine so I can make it thru each day. Sometimes imagination is better than reality I suppose in this situation.

That is so true.  I have lived alone for the past 7 years after the divorce.  I kind of got used to my life and my routine.  Now I am bringing a future wife and two teenagers over to live with me!  I would have been scared to death about how to handle that but for some reason, it is very comfortable and natural with Rose and the kids.  I thought I would be freaking out because my space will be invaded but I find myself freaking out because they aren't here.  You have no idea how much that surprises me.

Oh gosh, I do! I relate to this so much. After always being on my own, I would think about getting married or settling down and it would frighten me. I never thought I'd be able to do it comfortably. I'm a creature of habit, and sharing your home and personal space with another person goes against a lot of habits, lol. I remember being so worried the first time Paul stayed with me at my home for a length of time. I worried he wouldn't like being there. I worried he'd find me and my habits annoying, or vice versa. I was so incredibly pleasantly surprised. Being with him was so much better than my solitude, and I never thought I'd find that somewhere. Everyone tells me to enjoy the distance and last time of being alone while I can - it doesn't work like that now! :P My solitude is no longer my happy space. Being with him is.

Håll ut, y'all.

I get to eat dinner with her while she has her morning coffee.  All told, it isn't perfect but it isn't that bad either!

Lol, that sounds (kind of) like us. We'll talk or FaceTime on a Saturday or Sunday morning, my time, and he'll have an afternoon coffee while I have my morning coffee. It's our catch up time for the week. It's our "normal" right now. Those routines are so important, I think. Even with the distance, it's important to have those moments where you connect and have a recurring connection.

My fiancé and I are also American/Swedish! I’m the Swede and we have a daily setup where I wake at 5am to talk to him before work and he stays up to talk to me at 11pm. Both of us lose a tiny bit of sleep every night as a result, but it’s the only time that suits us now that both of us work.

I actually have always been a bit bummed that I’m the early riser and he’s the night owl in our relationship, because it means our sleep rarely occurs at the same time. If we’d swap time zones it’d work out so well (like for you guys!) 😄

:D I don't see many of us around here! :) I feel like we just became best friends, LOL.

Haha, yeah my fiancé (the Swede) is the night owl out of the two of us. He's up until midnight or later his time pretty much every night so that we can talk in real time during the week when I get off work. I text him as soon as I wake up in the morning for work, which is 5am my time, and we have a quick chat then. Text message and FaceTime has saved us tremendously being long distance, for sure. Time is definitely one of the areas where we differ the most. :content: He's been a chef for many years and has this incremental sleeping pattern/habit down...whereas, I have to have structure. I have to be in bed by a certain time, I normally wake up at the certain time, etc. This situation has definitely tested that, among other things lol :P

Where at in Sweden are you, if you don't mind my asking? My fiancé is from Gothenburg. Such a beautiful city.

Håll ut, y'all.
