That is awesome.  It is amazing what we can do to make room for love in our lives.  Rose gets to watch me sleep through my Nest Cam.  We can even talk through it.  Her internet is too slow to allow me to do the same.  She says that sometimes in the afternoon she will grab coffee and sit down and just watch me sleep.  While that may seem weird to some people, it is very comforting to me.

Ha Ha doesn't seem weird too me at all, but then we have Skype running 24/7, if we are home or not it's still on. In fact many times she might be out shopping for her mom ( her mom is a seamstress)and texts me to tell her daughter go ask her mom about a certain kind of fabric. We both sleep with it on and if I have to go away for the weekend It's running on my phone while I'm driving, so she can see me and we can talk. Yes of course, I play it safe and don't watch the screen and have Bluetooth on while I'm driving. So my point is even though there is a distance it's still possible to feel connected with technology these days and it doesn't seem weird at all.

That is another awesome story.  What would we do without technology!  I always FaceTime Rose on my way to work.  She is getting ready for bed and I am starting my day.  I love seeing her in the morning and I too, dont stare at the screen.  She will even talk to me during La Luna Sangre!!!  That is her favorite show.

Wow.

So that was pretty much the most useless tier 2 convo ever.

I think it is because my fiance is nice. He doesn't push or get loud lol.

I should have been the one speaking to the officer.

They said we haven't been assigned. Still working on June 1st :(

In defense of your fiance, I've found that being nice gets results, insofar as results are possible.

If you're NOT from the Philippines, you have a fair chance on the B2 visa.

True. We talked about me applying for a B2 but I told him it's not really a good idea since there is a huge chance that it will get denied especially with a pending K1. So might as well wait for this application before we try something else.

I wanted to take a moment to thank everybody here.  I started out the day pretty down and now I realize how blessed my life is.  I apologize to all of you who had to listen to Philippine stories but I promise to listen to yours too.  Today completely brought me back.

Thank all of you once again.

We are all in this forever. Thank you for keeping us sane. I hope with all my heart that you and rose get to be together soon. No one deserves to go through all this.

We all chose this path.  I will just be happy to start seeing June approvals.  I know our time will come.

Waseem has adapted to wake and sleep around the same times I do.  His time is seven hours ahead now that we are in Eastern Standard Time and six hours ahead in Daylight Savings Time.  It was funny when he called me an hour early to wake me up the day after the clock went back to EST, lol.  I'm lucky that he is able to make his own hours since he works from home.  It's nice to say, "Let's go to bed," even though it's only figuratively.  His family is just waking up when we are going to sleep.  Early when we started talking again, we had some 12 hour overnight conversations where we fell asleep but left the phones on so we could hear each other.  The batteries always died.  It was awhile before we video chatted because it had been 28 years since we had seen each other and he had been burned and I was "old and fat."  No one looks as good as they did when they were kids.  And, I wanted our relationship to be based on what we said and thought and not on how we looked.  We still don't video chat a lot.  We only got to spend three weeks in person this time even though it was so much when we were younger.  I think I spend more time talking to him than I do with anyone one else and vice versa.  There was this one time last year that I thought the building was on fire in the middle of the night and the first person I called was him.  I realized then that it was a bit of a problem that we were not married if when anything (good, bad or scary) happens the person you want with you is on another continent.  Who would I ever put for my emergency contact in life?  If anything ever happens, I want it to be him that comes to be with me.  So, if you are comforted by having her watch you sleep or by having the person on Skype all the time, I can totally understand it.  I'm glad he did not get that phone call, though.  It was a false alarm and the fire truck left.  He would have freaked out.  What does a man in Egypt do if his fiancé is in danger besides freak out????  I like this forum because none of us do seem dumb to each other about these things.

Just imagine how hard this was for people who were apart and applying for a K1 visa before the internet happened. Like OMG, snail mail and hard copies of your selfies. :P

I dunno but my day just isn't complete without our FaceTime dates.

We sometimes Facetime when we are on oour way to work and even when we are both at work and not busy. I can't help myself from imagining how awesome it would be when we are together already. It just makes me smile.

No, sorry I might have not explained well or miss spelled fiancee. My future husband is a male and I am a female. So no same sex. He asked for a b2 visa for me for 3 weeks. Fingers crossed they grant it.

I'm just curious, but do same-sex couple petitions have any different requirements?  I hope the question doesn't sound ignorant or offensive -  not intended to be.

Glad we could help - its times like that when we all need someone to just inject us with a little love.

Not that I'm aware of. I'm a same-sex couple and we didn't have any special steps to take.
