Not a problem! I came back to England in August and as I said was only planning on being back until end of December. I just got the first job I could, supervisor in a coffee shop. I'm living with my parents whilst im back so I haven't had much money out going and have saved every penny I could. I will be able to live with Savannah in America and she wont have to pay anymore rent so that's not an issue either. As I said when I go back it will be on a shoe string budget but being with her will be enough. We are lucky in that I have quiet a lot of savings (I have always worked and have saved whatever I could) and her dad is paying for the wedding which means we don't have that to save for. I guess you should just look at your finances closely and try and roughly plan what it would cost you if you did decided to quit your job and move out there for a few months. Made sense to me because as i said i have always saved my money for 'a rainy day' and as things stand days dont come much rainier than this

I have quite a bit of savings and he earns very well i just dont want to be a burden but i am honestly finding it so hard. I visit every month however saying goodbye is the hardest thing in the world.

Thank you sir.  I am doing all I can think of doing.  I got the congressman involved and I am really hoping to cut the wait time for USCIS to send the file to NVC.  That is the real killer here.  6 to 8 weeks of just sitting and waiting because they won't forward the file.  If I can cut time there I am pretty confident with the NVC time and while Manila is busy, there are also cancelations.  It just means we will check everyday for openings.  Rose lives close enough that she can get to the Embassy in about an hour.

You are correct, I am using a somewhat pessimistic timeline but with my experience here, that pessimistic mat turn optimistic at some point.  The whole 160 to 180 discussions taught me a great deal.  Those really didn't need to escalate like they did.  I'm at 218 and as of yesterday I was told I haven't been assigned.  I dont necessarily believe them and I am trying to stay as strong as possible.

Thank you for the thoughts.  I really wish you and your partner an easy ride through the rest of this gauntlet.  We all really appreciate all that you do for us and we wish you a great peaceful and loving life.

we are also making calls everyday but same answer tht have not been assigned yet.We have created inquiry on 4th jan through tier2 and also by congressman on 7th..Lets see if anything happens with two inquiries.we are june 8.

It's still good to check. I studied in a private school too, from preschool to college. Both the college (Stella Maris College) and university (University of Santo Tomas) I went to accepted partial payments on tuition fees and they did not even require a deposit.

Awesome.  Thank you.  We will definitely look into it.  Hopefully we won't need it!

Good luck to you.  I am going to start doing the same.  I will be a little more aggressive.  Sitting and waiting didn't do much for me so far!

Yea but creating inquiries also seems like not helping people much.May fillers are getting answers of their inquiries that they will be getting notice of action in 45 days. The way uscis is working i do not believe them much now.

That is true.  I don't trust any of the information that I was receiving but at least I feel like I am trying.  Sitting a waiting everyday was not helping either.  It is time to try something new.  I already realize that I won't get much more information but maybe I will get lucky.  I guess that is why so many people play the lottery.  Someone has to win.

Thanks.  I will check into that.  I know last year was a single payment in full.  It is Pateros Catholic School.  I believe it is private and pretty strict with the payments.

That school is just a few block from where I work. LOL. I agree that they are pretty strict with payments, but you guys can talk to them maybe. @Tony and Tillie's suggestion might work! School usually starts in June, and estimated POE might be around July so they'll prolly be going to that school for just a couple of months. I hope you get your NOA2 within the week @John & Rose, and hopefully NVC wouldn't take that long so your kids can start school there instead. :)

I got a little curious about CR-1, but I guess that will be our plan B or C. This whole thing is driving me nuts. :jest: Sometimes I'm like meh, sometimes sad, but I'm trying to keep a positive attitude and be really patient.

I would be totally fine with us just starting a life here in the Philippines, but I just don't want him to have a hard time with moving, adjusting with the environment, and quit his job.

I'm so excited and a bit freaked out to see my fiance in a couple of months, it's been 8 months since we've been together and it was our anniversary last week.  Something to look forward to.

Hi, And congratulations, how did you find out about your NOA2? just by mail and has it been updated on their web site? it seems the only way we are going to have any idea what they are doing in the USCIS is from RFE and Noa2 posted here.

We received the mail on January 08. They haven't updated our case online yet.<_<

Rose lives just a few blocks from there too.  It's a small world!  I really hope that they can come here before June.  School starts in August here so maybe, if we knew a specific move date, they can just stay out of school for a few weeks to a month.  What gets me is that this isn't just about Rose and myself.  This is Aira's and AJ's life too.  I want them to feel settled and comfortable and not constantly wondering what is going on.

Aira is going to dance some folk dances at the Festival in February.  I am hoping to be there but it will really impact how much time I have with them when the actually move.

Yeah before June or June would be ideal so that it gives them time to adjust, but I'm sure they will love it there! :)

Thinking about all the events we missed and plans we had to move because of the delay with the NOA2 can be frustrating, but one day we'll be with our loved ones. (Trying sooo hard to be positive.) This is just a minor test in our relationships that we'll all get through. ^_^

Like what my fiance told me ..."Soon you'll get to annoy me everyday for the rest of your life." :jest:
