Hello to everyone,

does anyone think that us being really young (I’m 18 and my fiancé is 19) can pose hurdles to our approval, and lead to a denial? In his state it’s allowed to marry at 16, but I still think our age might affect our visa. Thank you.

Bliss to all

As long as you are abiding by the laws of your state and you meet the other requirements (financial and meeting within 2 years) you should be fine.  You will need to prove it is a bona fide relationship but with the proper preparation you should be good.

Thanks John. Sometimes it seems to me that their goal is to deny more people and they are willing to use any possibility to do it.

Wish you to get this letter in your mailbox today or tomorrow. This week is promising.

It certainly does feel that way sometimes.  They are just doing what they are told.  I don't think they are trying to deny but the atmosphere now means they are being more careful.  It is shame that the people who actually do this according to all the rules are the ones who are being treated as criminals!

I feel like we're getting close. Tony is in Hawaii so if there's anything in the mail, we wouldn't know if it's NOA2 or RFE until he gets back next week. We're not looking forward to getting a RFE cause that's what we paid RapidVisa for - to make sure we've covered everything.

You’re going to need a loan to fund this process! Lol! :jest:

There is no doubt about that.  The AOS at $1225 a piece for 3 people!

We used them too.  I was pretty confident in the package we sent.  We did make a few changes before we got their blessing.

Same here, I had fully hoped to have my first Christmas with my wife last year, and this slow down never even crossed my mind as a possibility. Not to this degree. But we both agree that on the positive side she gets to skip over the hellish cold this year lol. Illinois this year is very much of the 'kill the weak' mindset, the whole dang country is! So at least they don't get a 'baptism by ice storm' to their lives here? I've got a good feeling about this week for you! 🤞🤞🤞

With my original timeline (POE in March), we were hoping for my Canadian fiance to come and enjoy a mild Winter/Spring down here in AZ and being slowly adjusted to the heat/boiled alive like the rest of us.. Now it's baptism by FIRE (POE in July maybe?) :jest:
