The holidays had very little impact on the timelines.  We are past the holidays and there hasn't been a single approval in two days.  It is a solid 8 weeks waiting for USCIS to send approved files to NVC and NVC is just marginally slower, from 2 to 3 weeks so far.  3 to 4 months from NOA2 to interview is not out of the realm of possibility.

Tier I and Tier II are representatives at USCIS.  Tier I has no information and Tier II has access to individual petition information.

It can certainly be any day now but keep in mind that some May filers are in days 230 to 240.  June 6 filers are dat 217 and you are day 200.  There are 2200 June filers waiting of the original 4300.  Yes, it can certainly be any day now for any of us.  There is no real pattern.  June 6 still has 120 filers who are virgins (per sqounky online updates).  We can go at anytime from today until a month from now.  It is just a very bizarre time.

Ok thanks for explaining that! Do we know for sure that there has been no approvals in the past couple days though? I mean people who were approved on the 2nd only found out yesterday via post with no online updates. Sure is strange that they were only dishing out RFE's yesterday with 0 approvals.

That is why I mentioned the sqounky online updates.  We really dont know.  We may all be approved already!  I was told yesterday that our petition hasn't been assigned yet so it is up to us to have our own feelings about the numbers approved without update.  There are certainly some but how many?  People are still getting updates online, too.  It just helps keep us off balance.  Were there only 5 approvals without online updates or were there 500?

I'm sure there are a lot more approved than the numbers are showing online. Just keep an eye on your mailbox and have informed delivery because USCIS' online updates seem to be getting more unreliable.

Hello Everyone

First of all, I am sending love and patience to all of my fellow couples. We are also October filers.

To see people suffering from long waits makes me really sad. But to my understanding of history, things are not changing until a bunch of courageous people stand up and demand "Peacefully" what is right. This is genetic codes of every social change, especially in the US. How about everyone in this forum including our close friends and family members send thousands of email-letter-phone call to our local and national representatives, Uscis director- Social Media hashtags etc. There are a bunch of tools (RESISTBOT) for that to make this job very easy. We only need a good template and our 5 minutes.

I love to hear this, I intend to take some action AFTER my visa is done due to my paranoia.

Hello to everyone,

does anyone think that us being really young (I’m 18 and my fiancé is 19) can pose hurdles to our approval, and lead to a denial? In his state it’s allowed to marry at 16, but I still think our age might affect our visa. Thank you.

dumb question: what is the use for Informed delivery in USPS?

I literally just signed up.

It shows you if you have mail coming in. It will send you a picture of whatever the envelope is :D

like any mail that is on my name right?

I don't get things like junk mail scanned in. It's bills, etc. So yes, if it has your name, but it will show you mail for anyone who lives at your address. At least I think it does. It shows me mail that is 'coming' for the previous tenants of my apartment, but I never actually GET their mail. If that makes sense.

If you're of age, meet the requirements, are in a genuine relationship, have submitted all you needed to, you should be fine. Don't sweat it. 😊
