It's very unlikely that your petition has been sent to NVC because currently people with NOA2 from early to mid November are getting their case numbers. Current wait time for NVC is about 40-50 days at least.

You'd be very lucky if they sent your case somehow but chances are you got false information. :(

Just heard back from my congressman's office - USCIS has said they've sent my petition to the NVC.  Hard to tell whether or not they actually have, or whether they're just saying that...but I guess it can't be a bad thing!  I called NVC this morning and the woman I spoke to told me to email NVCResearch tomorrow, but she said that would trigger a request to have USCIS resend the case so it doesn't seem necessary.  Maybe I'll get the case number by next week?

I bit the bullet and contacted my Congressman.  It was after another call to USCIS where I was able to speak to Tier II.  I had to tell the Tier I that I lost my WAC# or she would not transfer me.  Tier II said that we haven't been assigned and that they only just started June 1 petitions late last week and that there were no June approvals yet...that is a very Tier I answer but the Tier II did give me my case #.

I guess it is worth a try.  I've called 3 times and dont recall ever hearing that.

I think I waited to hear all of the options before choosing and that's why I heard it or maybe the lady hwo answered asked me if I was the bene or petitioner. I know "something" or "someone" asked me... lol

My new family should have experienced their first white Christmas last year.  As an early June filer it never even once crossed my mind that my expected POE in November of 2017 will actually be a POE in June or July of 2018.

OMG June or July!! You really think its going to take that long? :(

Looking at US Government logic...

I don't expect NOA2 until February 1.  Add 8 weeks for USCIS to send the files to NVC (April 1).  Then add 30 days at NVC (May 1).  Then add 8 weeks for an interview opening (Manila is probably the busiest embassy when it comes to visas).  That is July 1 and there is still a wait for the visa after the embassy approval.  So August is the most ridiculous timeline I can think of.  When I filed we were supposed to be approved in early September so thinking about sitting here in January waiting on NOA2 was also a very ridiculous timeline.  At this point, I honestly feel mid May at the very earliest.  This will be a 12+ month process within a couple months.

are you factoring the time for a possible RFE ?  I don't mean to be a downer... but even with RFE, you could still have NOA2 by feb 1. if you get RFE this week and send overnight ... still very possible for 2/1 NOA2.. not that I'm wishing for you to get and RFE, I see you getting NOA2 before 2/1 without RFE... <3

This is a brutal timeline!  I did my research before we started and thought the whole thing would take 5-9 months max!  I hope that things speed up a little with the new year.  On the bright side summer weddings are lovely :)

If it takes 50 days to NVC I will have it arrive with NVC by Feb 8/9. I figure by end February it is with US Embassy in Cambodia and by early March and I will push for 1 month interview. It will take my fiancé under 1 week to get all documentation required.

March POE is pushing it but April I think is viable for me.

I’ve already been pestering the embassy in Cambodia
