I get that a lot at work too. If not for the slowdown, this month would've been my POE.

My new family should have experienced their first white Christmas last year.  As an early June filer it never even once crossed my mind that my expected POE in November of 2017 will actually be a POE in June or July of 2018.

We'll be getting legally married in the U.S., of course, but we're going to have a ceremony with people invited next year.

We're going to be doing the same thing! 😋 its way too cost prohibitive for her family to all swing last minute tickets to the US for the wedding when we have a limited amount of time to plan things once we've finally got the visa, so it's a marriage here and then ceremony there XD we'll be getting married in Dunedin, how bout you?

I hear you. I'm pretty sure Rose and the kids would've enjoyed a white Christmas with you. I hope you get the news this week.

Hey everyone! Just a thought.. I think these applications are looked at randomly and perhaps the wait time has to do with the country our fiance is from.. Because its unfair how people from later dates than June 14 got approved already but some of May and early June are on a hold up.. Smh praying for some approvals this week or at least to shine some light to all that are waiting including myself.. Counting down the days to go see my fiance forget the NOA2 lol.. Sheesh

It will happen.  I know it is just a matter of time.  That cold spell would have really made them homesick so maybe it is best they didn't experience the polar vortex on their first few weeks here.  Now that we are looking at May/June/July for POE, the weather should be more inviting to them.  They thought I was kidding when we were hitting -20c!  They get cold at 18c

Same here, I had fully hoped to have my first Christmas with my wife last year, and this slow down never even crossed my mind as a possibility. Not to this degree. But we both agree that on the positive side she gets to skip over the hellish cold this year lol. Illinois this year is very much of the 'kill the weak' mindset, the whole dang country is! So at least they don't get a 'baptism by ice storm' to their lives here? I've got a good feeling about this week for you! 🤞🤞🤞

I said just about the same thing in the post right above yours.  Maybe God is doing this to make the transition easier on us!  I have to assume there is some reason and them missing the polar vortex is not a bad thing.

Ah nice, Dunedin is great :) we'll be getting married near Hamilton as it's where my fiancé and most of his family/friends are from.

I am on the same page! Its frustrating but oh well as long as we spend time with each other I will be all set. My fiance he patient but I believe his is wearing away jaja cuz he told me I think these morons forgot about us jaja I was like a lot of people are on wait not just us.. I was like so whenever the interview happens you go with confidence because I am going shortly over there.. Not waiting a year to see you! So yes 208 days then If I call to inquire its an automated machine idk how I can speak with an actual person 😠😤😕
