Definitely, we don’t have an accurate picture of the number of approvals because they are not being updated online. It’s just odd how some are updated and some aren’t

Not only not accurate, but the numbers must be a bit more bright on USCIS's side? There are more accepted than we have numbers for, so we can just sit and wait and hope it's going really well

good afternoon Junies!! Quick question: is it possible for he finace to travel to the US from any country with a tourist visa while waiting for the K1 visa? (just a thought that crossed my mind).

Sure. It is possible. Depending on the country, it may be very difficult to get a tourist visa. It is almost impossible to get a tourist from the Philippines.  A third country meeting works too.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Is it wrong to think that the daily scan statistics/ETA of NOA2 on here are inaccurate due to many only receiving a letter in the mail with no online update? It seems like the reality of the numbers must be at least slightly better than we see from our scans on here.

Yes, it’s not possible to get an accurate picture on the progress.

The USCIS reported times are just outdated. The VJ estimate is a fun tool but limited, the daily scans are only as good as the source data which is the incorrect USCIS website.

Good news is the scans are the best source of info we have and that the actual situation is a little bit better than the scans.

Imagine if USCIS invested in hiring someone to build a streamlined process to make all K1 submission and approval online. We could submit the I-129F online, send a payment online, take a photo with a webcam to the exact size and dimensions they so wish, and daily they could give statistical updates... It sounds so farfetched and realistic at the same time?!

I went for a immigration appointment in Norway once and I made an appointment online and after that I could submit and do everything directly online... I didn't even have to wait a week

It won’t hurt you if he visits on a tourist visa while you wait.

then thats an option I'm willing to take if this process is going to be taking to long.

I think @Shaman got a tourist visa while on the process. And if he already have a visa he can definitely visit (I am visiting now)

If anything they will start to require it long hand written in blood.

And after that they're going to make the petitioner wait for the 11 or so months K-1 takes outside the USCIS office until it's our turn and take our phones away so we can't call to inquire :(

@John & Rose silly question, but I’m really lost.

When you say 12 months for green card after POE, what does that mean? 12 months before I’d be able to work?

You can get a work work authorization in about 2 to 3 months. You will be able to work while you wait.
