I know it seems crazy, but me and my fiancé keep talking about withdrawing and submitting a cr-1.

Only because there are so many hurdles, and at least we would already be married! Seeing so many people unexpectedly denied or placed in ap for months/years is scary. I know it can happen with a cr1 too, but I wouldn’t be worrying as much.

we’re obviously going to see it through but only because we have waited for so long.

Then reading this yesterday blew me.

USCIS has also put in place new interview requirements for U.S. citizens seeking to bring over their fiancés. In the first nine months of 2017, approvals of fiancé visas dropped by 35 percent over the same period a year earlier, the Reuters data review found.”

Well, everyone...I was shockingly surprised this afternoon to find in the mail

and envelope from homeland security and our NOA2 APPROVAL LETTER.....

Apparently is was approved on the 2nd....the notice is valid from 1/2 to 5/1

Did this letter come from California Service Center or from the NVC?

If I have my letter - does that mean the package is on its way the embassy in my beneficiaries country?

What should I do next?

(I plan to be in Brasil Feb 24 - March 11 - we will try to arrange for interview while I am there - hope that will work out)

We are June 6th date....

NOA2 Approval 1/2/2017

Notice Received 1/6/2017

Online: my case still says received....I have had no updates, no emails, no calls - I have been waiting in confusion like everyone.

But, today it shows up in the box.

Hang it there everyone - the process is certainly unpredictable...

Just keep the faith and keep on the path...be at peace and believe in yourselves and what you have set out to accomplish.

You will be successful.

I wish everyone the best of luck - I want you all to feel this joy and sense of relief - I want you all to be able to make that call or write that

text which says...we're APPROVED.

Thank you, Vocaledge, et al for all your efforts in bringing us the daily updates...

I will be poking around here to see how it continues to go for the few of you I have come to follow.

I'm going to thank the universe...and the course of fate.

Best wishes to you all.

We spoke briefly today via FaceTime. My birthday is this Sunday and my friends took me out for dinner. Plus time difference and work. I have also taken time to digest because I don’t want to speak out of anger or any negative emotions I might be feeling at the moment. I really hope I can make a good decision, I just don’t know what that is right now 😭

You need cool down and throw away emotions and work just with SITUATION! This will help understand his real motives.

We are, women can make a huuuuuge problem from not big one. Yes. It's really hard to forget mention about deportation...but. When you find the deepest reason you can decide what to do next.

From bottom of my heart I wishing you make a right decision🙏🏼

I think that has something to do with certain people who were exempt from needing interviews in the past are now required to interview like everyone else.  I don’t remember who these people were who used to be exempt.

Thanks!! Do you have a link for that guide btw??

Wait, actually there is a link that makes reference to the part about how to fill out form I-134. Since it refers to the old form, question 11 here would be question 38 on the new form. Hope it helps.

We are considering the same thing. It is cheaper and much quicker to green card. It is tough because we are already at day 215. I really don’t expect to see anything before day 230 to 240 if we are lucky. Still, going there to get married and then wait another 14 months for POE is a tough call. I expect that the K-1 is a year long process that we are already 7 months into. I am hoping for POE within 5 months but that is probably pushing it.  That will be a year since we filed.

If if I were starting the process today I would not even consider a K-1.
