I just hit 190 days. I'm bombing Twitter acct of Homeland Security Dept. daily. Will throw the graphs right at her. She may not read it but I'm hoping others will and thereby let other Americans know that the one form of immigration that every American can unreservedly embrace (marriage/fiancee visas) .... is being handled horribly.  Businesses can be informed too, in an era of an exploding economy .. a source of top notch, able bodied, fully screened immigrants .. is being bottled up.

For you screeners .... is the workload increasing? Are there more cases now as opposed to 6 months ago?

This is something you can check from their reports. because this workload is not about k1.

USCIS has more things (a lot more things) to do than  K1 petitions. N400 (naturalization- yes increased than last years because we don't have the most recent data I can't say the last 6 months, you can check their reports again on this that is the only data we would have), h1b yes increased, daca increased... basically everything is increased to stabilize their situation as it would be expected...but no k1 has decreased in 2017 about 3500 cases from the previous year, and also the denial rate was higher (but again this can be the wrong forms and wrong fees) from 16% average to 20+% average.

I agree.  Even though the denial rate is higher, that doesn't mean that they have a vendetta out and are purposely denying more people.  I know it is tempting to catastrophise.  There have also been a lot of bad things happening in the world (like usual) and that could mean more fraudulent people applying.  As far as Egypt is concerned, my fiancé told me that there are a lot of young Egyptian men who meet foreign women at beaches and they "fall in love."  The woman might be totally convinced that it is a bona-fide relationship but then it gets denied because of something the consulate sees and the US petitioner doesn't.  We hear about the refusal but might never know how close to disaster that person came.  Just like any romantic relationship, these international ones are not always honest either.  I really still want to believe that these people at USCIS and Homeland Security are trying to look out for our best interests.  How many dating and marriage horror stories do we hear in the US between American couples?  Well, there is so much more at stake here because we are co-signing for someone and supposed to be financially supporting them for 10 years.  Imagine if we had done that for some of our failed relationships in the past!  I don't think these USCIS, NVC and consular people are out to get any of us!  I'd actually like to meet the consular in Egypt.  She looks like someone I would be friends with if I ever moved there.  But we all feel like our stomachs have been put through a garbage disposal about now!  Keep the faith!  It will be ok.  This is a scary and uncertain time, but I think almost none of us has anything to worry about!  May God be with us all and give us the fortitude to bear whatever happens!

Also I noticed that scan any date and you'll see a whole bunch of approved I-539's, so those they have to work through first I'm guessing.

I believe you mean the petitions expiration and yes it does, 4 months after approval... that's why it is bs and they know it :)

did anyone confronted them about it btw? @George & Roth did you try telling them that (I mean I know it wouldn't matter but your roar is the strongest )

USCIS - "We sent your case already to NVC by the 27th"

NVC - "We do not have your case"

I will #### somebody up. What the #### is going on?
