USCIS told me today they can take up to 90 days to send to NVC. I hope that is not the new time for us to wait now, increased from 50 days.

How it takes them 90 days to put something in the mail is beyond me

Don't K1 have an expansion once approved  ? If USCIS will hold up 90 days and by time interview will schedule Petition will be expired or very close to it . Hope I am   wrong about this . If anyone know any information about it please correct me .

I believe you mean the petitions expiration and yes it does, 4 months after approval... that's why it is bs and they know it :)

did anyone confronted them about it btw? @George & Roth did you try telling them that (I mean I know it wouldn't matter but your roar is the strongest )

But once you’re approved, you have to do the interview within 4 months

That's what I thought . And if USCIS will hold for so long and then NVC will hold ....and by the time to schedule interviewPetition will expire 🙄

I did confront them:

"Ridiculous, Absurd, Abhorrent" however I got an apology and they said they are no longer taking any Tier 2 calls today so I need to call tomorrow when they are in. I will be updating Visajourney after I discuss with them

Hi lovely people,

Taken directly from https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html:

"My Petition Expired – Can It Be Extended?

The I-129F petition is valid for four months from the date of approval by USCIS. A consular officer can extend the validity of the petition if it expires before visa processing is completed."

Assuming they'll have a few extensions to deal with... 210 days & counting.
