Can I do it now before even getting the NOA2 or should I just wait?

Yes, you can do it now to get it out of the way. But you need to come back for the sticker when you get the visa. I will probably do it when we get our MNL#.

@IshTre....girl you better dance on and not worry about the rest of us!!!! We are all in this together but we all have our individual journeys to walk through. Best believe when I get my approval, I'm gonna "Milly Rock" and "Harlem Shake" and "Dutty Wine" all day every day up until the interview and POE!!!! There's no hate or envious to be had. You win, I win and when I win, you win!!!! And if there are those that are jealous and envious, then their heart is not in the right place and that's too bad for them!!! JAMAICA STAND UP!!! :D

@The Squirrel....just be ready with my GIF baby!!!! It's a party coming!!!  :P

YASS HUNTY!! JAMAICA STAND UP!! My fiancé lives in Portland.

Just want to say congrats to all the "Junies" that have received the NOA2's!!!!

For those that don't know who I am (but you probably do), I'm a May filer (May 23rd) still waiting on my "Golden Ticket", so I'm almost gonna kinda designate myself as an "in-betweener" at this point (May/June filer).

I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi because I'm sure some are saying, "who is this crazy person posting in our forum all of a sudden"....lol!!!! @The Squirrel can vouch for me and sassiness!!! :P

Good luck to everyone and remember, we are all in this together so when you win, we all win!!!!

Have a good day! :D

I vouch for @Trinab80, she is absolutely wonderful. She has a wealth of information. She is such a positive wonderful woman. And more importantly she deserves that NOA2 like today!!!

Hey thanks! I'll go talk to my Fiance about this and see what route we'll take then. If I should do it now, or if wait for the Visa to be approved first. :)

@IshTre & @Trinab80 although British born, my grandparents (both sides) originate from JA. St Catherine, st Anne’s and my grandma Lola is from Portland. She recently past just before my fiancé (who calls me fake Jamaican) proposed to me. I believe that she had an impact on this. She had dementia and constantly asked if I was married. So thank you granny for speaking it into exsistance 😘😊

So sorry to hear about your lost. But I'm sure she's smiling down on you and truly happy that you are with your soul mate.

And my fiancé calls me a fake Dominican because I wasn't born there, my father and entire paternal side was, but I claim all of my American/Latino heritage because that makes me...ME.

My mom actually attended his Oath Ceremony back in 1979/80 (I was actually there too....in my mom's belly), and watched him be sworn in to become a US Citizenship. So without him migrating to the US, I wouldn't be here today.

Thank you. She was an incredible woman.

And that is so cool, thanks Grandpa lol

Although people say that this is the hardest part (the wait). I have read countless comments that state the paperwork even after POE and 2/3 years is a ball ache.

The case tracker notified me an hour ago that 2 more June 9th filers got approved this morning. They started early.

So here’s to a good day for approvals. Good luck all you Junies and of course @Trinab80 @Shoegum  And all other May filers. I feel bad that we got our approval before those who have filed before us.

Glad you’ve got through your low time, my fellow Surrey compatriot @vocaledge. Once you get the NOA2 approval, it’s a huge relief and every little disagreement you’ve had becomes so insignificant. Someone posted a ‘Love finds a way.’ gif here and I wanted to repost it for you.. but I still haven’t found a way to post gifs! 🤣

Although people say that this is the hardest part (the wait). I have read countless comments that state the paperwork even after POE and 2/3 years is a ball ache.

It can be a headache, but I think that half of that is based on lack of preparation and research on what is needed on the next phase of this process. A lot of people just get stuck on the K1 visa phase and completely forget that we will be dealing with the USCIS and the US government long after we get our fiancé's here and get married. And if the research and prep is not done or started from the beginning, that's where the problem comes into play. Unfortunately, the US government will be involved in our lives for at least 3 years and that's only if our fiancé's choose NOT to naturalize and become US Citizens - some may want to stay a legal permanent resident for there own different reasons. But the bottom line is, it's one thing to prove the relationship is "bonafide" during the K1 phase, but then there's the proving the MARRIAGE is real, ongoing and shared as if a normal married couple would be. So, that's more information, paperwork, pictures, time, and of course, MONEY that has to be shelled out.

And now, with the crackdown on illegal immigration and other "B.S." they will scrutinize things even more. That's why I always say to read up and research and prepare because this K1 visa phase is only the beginning.

I'm getting a validation error when I check my case status. I've tried checking other statuses too. Is anyone else having this issue?

I get this when I enter my case number incorrectly.

Maybe you checked too much? I think there is a limit per day as to how many you can check or something like that

But no, currently I can check my status just fine.

Hmm okay. I didn't think I've checked it that much but maybe I have! Lol
