I was thinking about this as well, I would do it right away if your last year showed strong income but I don’t think they will hold it against you if you didn’t file early. Including a couple recent pay stubs shows your most up to date income situation anyway.

 

 I’m planning to file ASAP as I’ll be getting a refund and I despise giving the government an interest free loan. And adding the refund into my bank account balance which is part of my assets for affidavit of support is another bonus.

@vocaledge  Did you overnight? and how long did it take for them to update status ?  Do you have a ballpark estimate as to how long it takes to receive NOA2 after RFE is received ( my case I believe still says case received so I doubt I will get any updates except by snail mail....)  so needless to say I'm playing shadow, and just kind riding your tailcoat since our situations are similar and so close in time.  I overnighted yesterday and the USPS employee says its guaranteed by 3pm today so its cool to know some employees work late.  anyway let me know what you can :-) <3  Praises up to my brother VOCS, keeping a solid ground for me at this point .

I hope so.  I actually work with a good number of people that actually feel this way.  I was hoping it was sarcasm but I was afraid to comment.

I just want to say that everyday when I check the forum, I hope to see that you received your and Rose's approval... You have been a calming force on here in the face of a considerable amount of obstacles that face all of us...

None of us will probably ever meet in person, but we can still keep the positive thoughts for each other!

For some reason, I think today is YOUR day!!!!

Thank you so much.  I know my time will come and I also know that there are people who have waited longer and some that are having much more stress.  As much as I want this approval, there are others that really need it to help them keep their relationships strong.  I pray that those who are struggling the most with the wait get their approvals quickly and that they can get back to a less stressful loving relationship.

 

I have been thinking "today is the day" since about day 160!  Today is day 212.  I honestly can't even imagine what I will be thinking when I see the approval!  

 

Let us all hope that we can get the approvals soon and move on to the next period of waiting!

We actually didn’t overnight it cos the post office said they couldn’t and it would take two days (it got there overnight)...

 

it arrived there at 11am yesterday morning and updated on the system literally when I posted, at about 8pm.

Happy new year my fellow June bugs!

So as mentioned previously, I took a last minute trip to see my fiancé (literally booked midday before I went. I rearranged my work diary before I rang my boss on the weekend for the time off. As he knows the situation he was happy to grant it. 

I went New Year’s Eve until Wednesday afternoon. 

I was so desperate to see him that I drove to London for the flight. (I live in birmingham, about 2 hours away). 

I returned this morning, and went straight to a meeting at work. I am knackered!

Anyway, yesterday we rang USCIS. Initially Will (my fiancé - petitioner) rang and the tier 1 rep gave him the usual garb, and he’s not great talking to people on the phone, so I rang back, and was a little more firm (but polite) than him, highlighting that we have paid a fee and unsure why, as at this point as the office have not been very forthcoming with information. I explained that we ultimately are paying for a service. This lady then put us through to a tier 2 rep. 

He rang back, and again I was polite, but firm, advising the same. I explained that I’m aware that we may be within “normal processing times, but surely nearly 200 days isn’t normal when paying for a service. 

He was allowed me to finish talking, and understood our concerns. (I spoke as the beneficiary which he was fine with). He explained that my case has not been assigned to an officer, however, the background checks have been done and approved. 

 

Anyway Chicago was absolutely FREEZING. -19c. Us Brit’s moan about it hitting -1c lol 

The views landing to Chicago were beautiful....tried to upload a photo but it wouldn’t allow me to.

do they perhaps send a snail mail update as well as online update,  bc I will have no way of knowing unless I call them I guess, but I avoid that at all possible costs..

Hello everyone! It's been a while since i took a look at vj forums. I was hoping to see better news than a month ago but apparently nothing much has changed?

Could someone kindly just brief me in on what's going on lately? Are we still on june approvals or do we have some progress in july?

My timeline jumped to March now... I'm an August Filler 170 days

I am June 6 and just received an RFE on Tuesday.  They are still pretty well into processing June and I think if any July dates were touched, they were expedited.  unfortunately it looks like the timelines are the same or have increases and may be increasing. I am sorry.  @vocaledge supplies us generously with a scan he runs twice a day on CALIFORNIA's time... He is also over seas so sometimes the end day scan isn't posted until next day in the early morning... I would take a look at the end day scans he does because it totals the number of apps USCIS is has processed that day for each NOA1 date... it can give you a better picture of how many are left to be touched in June and if any were touched that day in July...   <3 <3 <3
