This will definitely drag on to February and probably March...The timeline for later filers is looking horrible because it just keeps increasing. They need to get their s**t together...

Actually I think USCIS is now taking 2 months to send cases to NVC alone but NVC seems very quick to assign numbers and send to consulate. I just don't understand why they're not sending cases regularly and tbh it's scaring me how long the NVC time is going to take because it just keeps getting bigger and movement is slower

So i just came from talking with someone at the USCIS office. She was really nice to me (although i must say, I must have said yes please, no please, sorry thank you please...you get my point? i kissed ### basically). She said that the information that they put online for the processing timeline was accurate in the sense that the date December 26 2017 (located at the bottom of the page) indicated that on that date, they were working on June cases. She continued to explained that it gets updated monthly and if on January 26 2018 there is an update and June cases have been passed without an update of the case, i should call and this will indicate that my case "has superseded its processing time". 

 

I then asked her why the whole process was very long. 

She explained that, when they get our files they distribute our information to different departments including but not limited to the FBI, state department, and others to get a broader background check (even broader than one done for naturalization). Looking at this, she said, may result in different times that the results get back to them and they can put all that info back into the case file and then take an action. I think it kinda makes sense but still is frustrating. I thanked her and said bye. she even gave me her badge number at the beginning. 

 

I am a June 14th filer (day 203) and that date has not been touched for a few days based on the scans. One thing that i have learned through this process is that couples around us who are living with their significant other have no idea how much communication play a part in relationships. I mean there are days that i can tell he is not doing well just from his voice, pauses in dialogue and many more things.  

 

Come to think of it, it may actually be nice for some of us who have really horrible winters and our significant others have never been exposed to such weather. I think them coming in spring may not be as bad after all. Then again winter and hot tea under a blanket together sounds so great. 

 

Please y'all we will make it. they have no choice but to deal with our cases at some point.

We have finally been approved.........huge happy dance, this has been a long wait  we are both thrilled and over the moon .  The only notification came via   a letter in the mail, there has been no update of our case online. Our Noa1 date is 7th of June, Noa2  was approved on the 27th December and mailed on the 28th Dec....... 203 days. We received notification via USPS informed delivery on the 2nd of Jan. We are now on the 3rd of Jan and our case is still showing as received online.

Thank you :). It really has been such a long at times frustrating process and to finally have a Noa2 is a huge relief. Still pinching ourselves. Given Steve was here visiting and could not open the mail he called the USCIS......spoke with a level 1 person who of course could tell us nothing, he insisted on speaking with a Tier 2 person......2 hours later we had a call back with the good news

I mean it's all good info.... but it is just nicely said bs you know  

 

the process itself hasn't changed and it was done 30-90 days period.... so the question to them should be what has changed? 

 

Also wrong infor about december 26  date. That is the update of the website not the data. Data says as of October 31st. And there are articles and pages in their own website that explains that they put the data 2 months late. This is also just nicely said lies  

 

but at least they were not rude!

Especially in these current times....

 

I have credentials which have touched many federal and state agencies over many years...I'm sure I hit many places....

Without being rude... I just wanted to say...

Whoever keeps saying that CSC adjudicators only work until 4.30, or even 6...  Its now past 8pm there, and my case was JUST updated to show that they received my RFE response.  I went back and checked the scan which I ran at 6pm CST, and it had not been updated at that time, so please... know that there ARE adjudicators who work late, and that this is why I wait until after midnight to run my full day scan, which I will go back to doing in the future, just so you all know.

This is a really great hope.... appreciate not only them but you also by helping all filers willingly. Thanks a million vocaledge 😊
