Actually, I'm happy when I see any approvals for people here.  While I am desperate for ours, I also have Aira's and AJ's school that doesn't end until March.  That has given me a false sense of calm as I would prefer they finish out the year in the Philippines.  We are also facing some serious cold here right now and it is going to get worse.  I can mentally tell myself that April is fine for their interview.  The kids will be done with school and they can move to Chicago when it is warm.

Yes, I am grasping at straws and I want them here yesterday.  I am just trying to keep everything in perspective and look at this with some logic.  At this point the wait isn't really hurting us and may even be for the best.  I hate to say that because I dont want this to go to day 230 like some of the May filers.

I would be very happy if you get your approval before ours.  At least things are moving.

Thank you for the kind words...you have a good outlook about the wait. I think I’ve been doing pretty well but once I hit the 6 month mark it got a bit harder as my patience is running thin. Good luck to you and I hope you get news soon!!

Most of my words are being used to convince myself that the wait is OK.  I miss Rose's touch, smell, smile every second.  I have never wanted to spend every moment of everyday with a partner, including my ex wife.  I want to be by Rose's side until my last breath.  The wait is killing me because every second that ticks is a second we cant share together.  The kids school and weather are a great excuse but if I really had a choice, we would be together right now...

Youre a good guy and I actually put your case in my app so that I can rejoice when your approval comes. I hope they hit June 6 hard this week. It’ll make me feel better being a June 23rd.

Thank you so much.  At the rate this is going, you will be approved before us!  That would be fine with me.  Any June approval gets us all closer and even helps the July filers who are lurking.  I know this will happen for all of us...eventually! :)

Make sure there are dates on the things you send if they're asking for proof you met within 2 years. Good luck hopefully you get approved fast.

Meech, the only things I have with dates are the flight tickets and the passport stamp.  and a pair of tickets to a touristy thing during my trip. I photo copied all, included more photos, and a letter of the details of my trip.  ... I will send it all on my lunch break. ..

That actually makes me a little nervous lol. My very first trip beyond the states was to visit my fiance last year in NZ, and I honestly only realized even I was copying my passport that NZ didn't/doesn't stamp passports anymore? I sent my boarding passes for both flights, the one there and the one back, I hope that's enough! :: crosses fingers:: c'mon 2018, let's be a good year that doesn't hurt my brain so much!

Glad to see your rfe was an easy one to handle, here's hoping it's a quick dash from here to the next horribly long line for you now! 😃

I think you will be okay dear.  I truly do

that means alot to me but  considering the odds i knew i would be getting an RFE.... the GOOD NEWS IS - its SUPER EASY - they want proof i met him this spring..... sooooooo im copying my passport page which i may have failed to do the last time (DERRPPP) and the flight tickets again both ways, and more photos and writing another letter and sending it off tomorrow overnight.... BOOM.

edit _ I meant to say boarding passes here not tickets. LOL DERPY DOO over here

So I spoke to a Tier 2 yesterday and she was one of the rudest people In which I have ever spoken. I spoke in a calm and professional manner, but she would cut me off and yell at me when I refuted what she was telling me. She was saying the same old “you’re still with normal processing” and the “website is correct and we are just starting June cases.” She then proceeded to hang up on me when I asked her for her name.

So I called back this morning to report her unprofessional demeanor and asked to speak to a different Tier 2. This gentleman was much nicer, but stayed to the same story and wouldn’t give me any further information on why it’s taking so long or if my case was assigned or not. I am a June 23rd flier, and he said that I’m still within normal processing time, but I will be out of normal time in 20 days, in which I replied that I would have been out of normal processing already if they didn’t stop updating the website, so what prevents me from the same situation in 20 days. He did not have an answer.

In summary, while calling a Tier 2 seemed to be helpful to some, it was a complete waste of time for me. I knew more about what’s going on through this blog than they did. Thought I’d share.
