Day 199 and counting..

Overwhelming but just having patience and reading others getting approved gives me hopes that mines soon will be approved also.. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year 🎉 2018 will be better..

Last update of the year for the average processing time of all cases received every considered day and approved within the next 197 days, as to 12/30/17.

 

Only one week has been added since the last graph, being these results, however, more accurate since more days have been considered to make the calculations.

 

Again, the tendency isn't looking good although it's also true that this isn't the best time of the year for USCIS to make good progress. We'll see what happens with the beginning of 2018!

Hello all, im new here, been following this thread since the beginning of this month. Im a june 12th filer and my status is still “case recieved” is there anything i should be doing to expidite this process?

He called again on the 23rd, and they said it had been registered on the 19th and mailed on the 22nd.

 

Funny that todays RFE has a dated postmark for the 27th huh?

 

Anyway - its a request for a letter of intent to marry from me (beneficiary)...... it was absolutely 100% included in the original bundle - which was all scanned and placed in a dropbox before sending it off.

Anyway - new one done and we'll overnight it back to them on Tuesday so hopefully - that will be that.

Hey, we received a similar RFE. They asked for our passport style photos, even though I'm also 100% sure we mailed them with the petition. 

 

So we made new photos and sent them to USCIS, and according to USPS tracking they were delivered on the 19th of Dec, but I still don't see any updates in the system  

 

Anyways, good luck and hope we will hear back from them soon

My RFE asked for both letters as well, but i mailed the original letters. I didn't think about updating my letters because they have the same info; how we met and established our relationship.

I did write a new one, but referred to the original one too just to make a point.  I said something like "In addition to the letter sent with my original application, I am writing an additional statement as requested... etc etc"

Well, its stillr eally annoying, but more acceptable to think they maybe lost a passport photo rather than a full size sheet of text.  But yeah - still very annoying, and glad for you it was something simple to fix too.

How did you submit your application?

We sent ours in one of those A4 presentation folder/book things with each page of the application in the individual plastic wallet, all secured in. 

I'm going to be super p!ssed if they say they lost something... Maybe that will tell us if they are just sending RFEs for the sake of it or if it is genuine. 🤷‍♀️

They remove things to scan them, and place them into a more standard wallet (to pass to the adjudicator) from my understanding.

Yeah the first thing they do when they receive an application is to take everything out from whatever folder it is in and throw this last one away, so it wouldn't be surprising they lost something in the process. In our case we used a heavy-duty paper clip to bind everything together and ziplock plastic bags stapled to a sheet of paper to keep the passport photos and pictures. We were going to use a two hole punch and a fastener (as they recommend), but we realized some holes went through some important information and decided to change the method. That's what they do btw, but I guess they scan everything first.

I'm June 12 Filer as well let's hope that this week by at least Friday we get a notification
