Of course, the below expresses my feeling now that I find out USCIS sits on our case for 6 weeks and USCIS tells me it's normal

but you are in better shape than I brother. I'm still waiting for NOA2.... and have no idea when I could receive it... count your blessings    I'm the token June 6th filer I guess.. i should have sent my packet the day after i got back but i waited until Saturday.... good grief...

its actually becoming so foreign to me that my head cant perceive ever seeing an approval.  ever.  and if/when i do.... being in denial for a while that its legit ... dang USCIS really got into my head yall!!

Trust me I feel you, I feel like i'm checking the USCIS app ALL THE TIME and every notifications from the app makes my heart jump !

You would have thought with the hundreds of forms they go through week, they would mail things on a Friday? Or every 2 weeks. 

This is ridiculous. Maddening. 

It's quicker and easier for him to come here. And that's bloody tempting now. Only thing is with the new renting laws and the landlord being okay with it. 

 

This has become a joke. This whole process taking a year? It's screwed me up big time with my lease, all our plans are phucked, I cannot tell you how my job is destroying my mental well-being and with this on top... 

Eurgh. I've deleted the USCIS app as that just p!ssed me off more... Eurgh.

 

Its not even 6pm. I'm going to watch rubbish movies in bed with my cat, Ben & Jerry 😬😒

Maybe you will get the surprise SMS this time. I figured they were all out Friday afternoon for christmas, now when we think they are out for New Years here comes the approvals.

honestly, that's how little i care at this point... hahaha.. i just simply don't care.  it was pointless. when you get to 200 days, youll understand.. i just gave up checking.... it was sucking the life out of me so i freed myself of that mess hahaha. i did it like 2 weeks ago i think. I'm at day 206 today .

I go in early to make sure the coffee is made and the lights are on but the state and federal employees don't care.  They are good at their jobs and they do them well but they do the absolute minimum that they can get away with.  It is the nature of the beast.

 

USCIS employees are probably great people but they do not care about our petitions.  It is just a job.  A pretty boring, tedious and monotonous job.  

 

They are not being mean.  They are working for immigration in a very non-immigration friendly environment.  

 

We all need to relax because they are working on our petitions.  They are doing their job.  Yes, they are doing it slowly but it is getting done.  

 

We will all be approved or denied eventually.  It is the process.  

 

Please hold and support your loved ones.  Never forget why you filed in the first place.  Soon all this will be a distant memory.  Your love will last forever.  Take a deep breath.  Smile.  Call your partner.  Laugh, cry, and love.  We all are in this together.  This journey will end and we will start the rest of our lives.

Oh yes, I have tried to control my annoyance at this next step so I don't post in this thread too much about it. People at NOA1 don't want to hear complaints about NVC slowdown, just like I wouldn't want to hear about long lines at the airport for POE.

I should do just like you actually ! 

 

I only accepted that we would not "see" anything in 2017..
