My theory and feeling is that our petitions are not touched only one time.. They are when received, this is when they send the NOA1 probably just checked if the form is the correct one.. Then another time to check for obvious documents needed in the petition.. And one last time when the adjudicator review it in full details..

RFE about things already sent made me feel like if they do lose documents is because they move/touch them prob more than we think..?!

SO, maybe this RFE was about OBVIOUS missing evidences that they saw before being given to an adjudicator.

Might be completely wrong, just a suggestion..

No, I know you're not, and I'm sorry if you thought I was having a pop at you. I'm not.

I've been waiting since April to get this all on the way. My NOA1 is the end of June. 😒

So, people saying to be patient is infuriating. Bet they haven't waited this long. These workers

with their amazing salary, these days off (I only get Christmas day off. No other public holidays), the fee increase... They get to go home to their loved ones. 😒😒😒

Ugh. Rant over. Been on the mulled wine again. 😳

Thats what i was thinking, which is reassuring for those who haven't had any touches yet, but its crazy that an October filer apparently non-expedited has had touches when May/June people haven't yet!

Well in my "theory" it would mean we have been "touched" for obvious evidences/documents, just not from an adjudicator who might be the only one having the super power (ah) to approve/deny/send RFE after full details review..

I'm not making a political comment.  It is what it is and we are stuck dealing with it.  Good or bad, we are not in an immigration friendly climate right now.  That is what is happening.

You want to see immigration unfriendly? Experience the joys of an amnesty so that 500,000 criminals flood the system and receive priority processing. I experienced this courtesy of Clinton late Dec 2000.  I-130 processing spread out to 2.5 years.  Just pray they suspend the Diversity Lottery visa (aka terrorist fast tracker).  Like the rate of illegal border crossings ... the chain migration, immigration fraud, and legit filings have exploded.   That being said .... Congress needs to be blasted. People who pay fees, follow the process, undergo financial and legal scrutiny are being treated like garbage.  The idea that non-citizens can petition through the same system as citizens is beyond the pale.

Well, I originally thought I'd be back out there for an event in the second week of April where I was going to be helping get money for charity. I guess USCIS don't want charity though, only care about the money going into their own pockets.

For a case to get an rfe it does not have to be expedited. A case can get an rfe at any time, about different things. These files go through different stages, they may realize a file was missing a signature or a pic missing and that's an early rfe sometimes. And some can only be realized at the end of the journey when initial screening is happening such as more evidence on your relationship etc etc

nothing new but jus a bit of a vj member of one of those things happening :)

If this were a meal at McDonald's we would complain about the service.  We paid $500+ for a service that they simply have no motivation to perform.  The staff size is the same as it was last year when the turnaround time from NOA1 to POE was 40 days.  No, they are not overworked and understaffed.  They are no longer working in an immigration friendly administration.  They are not feeling the pressure to perform because their boss doesn't care about approvals.

I'm not making a political comment.  It is what it is and we are stuck dealing with it.  Good or bad, we are not in an immigration friendly climate right now.  That is what is happening.

We've seen these long delays before. But yeah the president is the one delaying your petition.

I love what you’re saying

im all for positivity! I just think it’s pretty much impossible given that people here have been waiting 200+ days.

I myself think uscis to nvc (Just sending the cases over) will be around 40-60 days. They will be processed at NVC around 1-2 months.

And then the interview phase. Which varies from country to country. My best guess is that that will be another 1-2 months until POE.

Which is (best case scenario) 4 months if you’re approved TODAY.

We got approved on December 11th and currently our case is “lost”. I mean it’s somewhere unfortunately nobody at uscis or nvc can tell us where it is. It says it was send to the embassy in Berlin which is wrong on so many levels.

We made Inquiries and called all the time. Nobody has been able to give us an answer as to where the hell our file is.

Its so hard to stay positive when you are waiting 200+ days and know you have that before you.

But we should all try! Good luck to everybody.

Love to you all.

Wait what? How do you already have info? I got approved the 4th and have bothered calling only once because I didn't think there was a benefit. They told you it's lost?

I see a lot of people here who are very impatient for updates. We have to remember that they are understaffed and overworked there so it's completely normal for them to be behind right now. They have a ton of work on their and we have to be understanding and patient. It's not like they're having parties and not doing actual work. Everyone will get a response in due time. We must be patient throughout this process. The more you focus everyday on seeing if there is a response, the longer it will feel. Try to relax a bit and take your mind off of it for a while and wait to receive your answer in the mail. Otherwise, you're only going to bring on more stress for yourself.

It's not normal at all. We wait months to be given a few minutes of attention, all the while paying hundreds of dollars which almost completely fund USCIS. How many industries could you give your customers' such bad service?
