Day 203...

Day +203

2nd Christmas spent apart and another New year is fast approaching.

i'm so happy I have my 10-year travel VISA to Brasil.

I booked a flight over the weekend and will fly back to SP in February after Carnival.  I was last in Brasil in October and

we decided not to spend more than a few months apart.

If things will work out between now and then - that we can have an interview in Rio during the time I'm there....great.

if not, we will take it as it comes.

I'm getting a little annoyed at how long this first phase of "application confirmation" is progressing.

Much time is going by...the process is still without an end date in-sight.

Time is precious - it cant be recovered.

Relationships have evolved - practical matters are real.

People are kept apart - waiting - with little control over the state and status of things.

My happiness, my freedom - is beginning to feel an encroachment.

Day 203.....what will it be?

John, will the new changes in immigration (the no extended family) effect you and Rose???  I hope not!

We have yet to see.  With our luck it will probably stop the kids from coming over.

I wonder why I am the only person who received an email and text update from USCIS about my case being updated/approved? Not complaining but it seems strange. Website was updated as well.

I am getting the hardcopy in today's mail.

what are the changes

They are trying to stop "extended family" from being included in family based marriage/fiance visas.  It is not quite clear on what is considered "extended family" and may include children.
