Since I'm new I am trying to understand how it works. We applied before and our application was denied and sent back to us. Now we've applied again only to get an RFE😡😡. ..my question is after USCIS 180 days, if you get approved does that mean it can't be denied or anything till the interview? Trust me waiting 6months before only to get denied was no joke 💔💔. That's why I didn't want to keep up with this one, that fear does a lot to oneself, believe me

Sorry to hear that.

why was it denied? Maybe others can learn from your story?

They're going to put their reports online mid December I am waiting that to compare to what we have.

I am 100% sure about non-updated cases of April and May. Which I will update here showing why I know so, and what to expect further. (Right now about to finish march to have further evidence on this theory) but you are right.

another aspect of this is, touch won't count as approved in their reports so I'm trying to make a new formula to also forecast the amount of approvals without rfe received status because this is not a touch and go until it turns to an approval.

Thanks @Naes

looking forward to your theory on hard copies!

Hahahaha.. Guess where we are right now!! Lol similar plan B!

@prince1364 I understand your concern and anxiety and you have my fullest empathy. However, don’t let the media’s hype discourage you too much. My fiancé is Muslim, just not from one of the seven countries listed. Most Americans are loving and accepting of all people, but unfortunately we live in a world where ignorant people have access to large platforms. I sincerely hope that you will not be affected by this as much as you fear.

Allow me to explain. I read through the law and I failed to find specifics about family visas. History has shown that the US has always made exceptions for cases such as ours. During WWII, we took immigrants from Germany and Italy despite being at war (Japan is a different and sad story in regards to our history). Additionally, immigration was allowed from Russia and China during the Cold War, Vietnam and Korea in the 1950’s and 1960’s, Iran since the 1970’s and I’ve even met people from Afghanistan recently.

Everything that ive read outlining the travel ban mainly effects refugees, lottery immigration (non-US ties) and temporary visa travel. Even then, there are several exceptions. I read that even refugees aren’t fully banned, just reduced the number of yearly admissions from 110,000 to 50,000 until a vetting procedure is implemented. Iran can still send exchange students, which is considered under the temporary visa travel. Priorities will be made to those who face persecution or endangerment from the seven countries listed.

My point is that historically the US has allowed visas to those with family ties to the US regardless of country, which we all fall under. The family visa does not fall under the lottery immigration numbers as it is written. Seeing that I couldn’t find anything that specifies the K1 process, I would hope and expect that the rules haven’t changed. In conclusion, do not panic and lose hope just yet. There have been many travel bans similiar to this in the past, but family based immigration still proceeded. Hopefully there will be favorable clarification for you very soon and you can join your fiancé as planned. As I mentioned before, my fiancé is Muslim (and I’m Christian) and I’ve been watching this closely as well. I’ll keep you in my thoughts and I’ll help you keep an eye on the details as more information comes out.

First, thank you for taking your time and writing this comment.

I must mention that I have traveled to many countries and have lived in the US for the past 6 years and I love this country and its kind and generous people from the bottom of my heart. So what this administration is willing to do has nothing to do with the people or with the country. Every country in the history has done something indefinable.

I'm trying to stay positive and I am keeping the hope. And really thank you for being supportive.

Regarding the context, the ban is different for every country.

My fiance is from iran. Everyone is barred to get US visa from Iran, except for student visas. All family visas (immigrant or non immigrant) are cancelled.

Exception: for spouse, parents and minor children, YOU CAN REQUEST FOR WAIVER. This is in the context of the travel ban 3.0 . I have read it and it is also on farsi news websites as well. Like VOA tv , or BBC.com/persian

The last travel ban from last June didn’t allow fiancé, but that was quickly reversed. While researching, I read an interview from a federal judge who stated that any ban on family visas, without specific individual cause, would be deemed unconstitutional. So maybe that will come to light quickly. Regardless, help keep us posted and we will do the same for you. No government can stop love....I’m confident you’ll be together soon!
