Looking for some VJ Junie family feedback on photo requirements - both of our passport photos (taken back in May at a professional photographer's studio in the Philippines) were rejected by USCIS via RFE on Dec 12. My fiancee had another photographer take a new photo yesterday, and I am a little concerned that the background isn't quite right, though the new photographer says it's fine. So asking, before we submit this one, what do you all think? Is this good enough? I am unnecessarily worried? She actually went back to the original photographer first, who provided a second set of pixelated photos with digitally modified background (which is why we think the first set were rejected & caused the RFE), so she gave up on them & then went to a second one - who did the same thing!... before finding a third who used a high quality camera & natural white fabric studio background. So I'm really nervous about this, and she is frustrated but understanding of the importance in getting it right in our RFE response. Please advise... thank you!

Too much of a shadow on this background. If you have iPhone, download an app called Eraser or Background Eraser.

Omg! I am worried what is Igors List? I am confused. It lists approved and unapproved cases. How accurate is that? Wouldn't USCIS contact the petitioner? Helppppp!!! I am lost.

Also, if people from the VJ site don't  up date their time line when they get their NOA2 and many don't as you can see from the graphs not showing 100 %  then Igor's list can't show an accurate time line, having said that at least it gives an idea how long the wait might be. which is depressing viewing.....

Nice contribution and information @Daniel P

I am concerned with the high instances of RFE, not specifically getting one but instead of the adjudicator looking at a new file they have 3 RFE responses to go through first. Whilst the RFE responses take less time they still take time and logically will create additional slowdown.

Igor’s timelines are pretty much useless now.

Yup, and no offense, but the data on that chart seems pretty ugh too, considering at 192 days I'm already past that average, even with the deviation stated.

I know, they probably do it just to make it look like they've processed more cases when in the end they are just adding more time to the whole thing. It doesn't make any sense

It makes sense if the administration wants to slow the amount of people coming into the USA, there was an article in the New York Times yesterday I added to this site about slowing things down for work visa's by making everything difficult.

Yep, I read it but, in my opinion, it still doesn't make much sense. If they want to limit immigration what's the point of just slowing it down? We'll get the visa eventually anyway. I'd say it's just a way to try to catch up

As Squirrel mentioned, it makes them look good with lower year end figures.

I agree with you, but sadly we don't think the same as the people in Government do (in any country) we see things differently and maybe logically .
