So... We waited for 6 months... (June 5th - Dec. 5th) and our case got approved.... Just a few hours after the Supreme Court let the administration to implement the travel ban 3.0 .

I (the petitioner) am currently with my fiance, and we were both shocked by the SC decision when we received the USCIS email. Ironically the approval somehow made it harder for us..

Now even if the federal courts rule against the travel ban, it might take until June 2018 for the SC to hear the case and our approval will be expired by then..

Sorry I didn't mean to make anyone sad here... I just needed to talk..

Please pray for us if u believe in praying..

I'm really sorry.. I really hope these ridiculous terms will resolve faster. There's no meaning in separating families.. especially because of generalizations like this.

Hey, the Supreme Court let the travel ban go fully into effect, but that's only while it's being challenged in the lower courts. There's going to be two cases on it just this week and we're hopeful the outcome will be good. Even if the ban goes through other appeals, we're really crossing our fingers that at least we will have enough time to be issued a K1 visa in case the appeals reach the Supreme Court and they decide in the administration's favor. I have to say though, them letting the ban go into effect right now is not a good sign for the future.

But don't lose hope yet! It's being challenged in court tomorrow!

You are right my friend, but like I said, the problem is the timing... The ban will fully go into effect UNTIL IT GOES BACK TO THE SC. Which is probably in june 2018. And that will be about 7 months from now.. Our approval is only valid for 4 months... So we waited for 6 months.. Now we must wait another 7 months just to see what happens and in case there will be no ban at that time, we should then go ahead and apply for another petition...! I think I should just accept the fact that we (me and my fiance) lost this case. I am already thinking about leaving the USA until it is the US again that we all knew.

On a Positive note, I read that the ban would mainly affect just Tourist and Refugees and If you have a bonafide relationship, or ties to a US citizen then you should be allowed in.

There are lots of NOA2s coming in mail without an update on case tracker.

Can you send me info where it says that it's allowed until it reaches the Supreme Court? From my understanding, it was reinstated pending the results of lower court challenges.

So no containment of fire.

the evacuation is 2 blocks from his house.

i am in japan. I am a fiancé. Having legally no right to do anything, just like when he was in the hospital, I had no right to take family leave.

I'm about to burst to crying. If I say anything too stupid or sarcastic today, please ignore me.. this forum is the only outlet I have right now, and you guys are the only supporters to understand this feeling of helplessness.

It it would be really nice if they can just give a 200 noa2s today, really that would calm me down a bit...

It's really a pity!

I pray for you and Fiancé.

All is Well!🙏

Do you have a link to where you read that? From my sources, I read that the Supreme Court fully instated the ban, not just partially. A lower court allowed bona fide relationships previously, but with the Supreme Court ruling, that aspect was removed.

Yes, I've googled too! I was listening to NPR commentary on the ban, but I didn't see any commentary outright stating that. Sorry for the bother, but do you have links? If this is true, I might just move to Turkey instead.

Guys actually, the fire is not in uscis area but there are too many spread all over. It is possible many people didn't go to work in the area.

because some of the schools closed in sure some people didn't want to leave their   Kids. It is not just Thomas fire but also creek fire is happening in Los Angeles.

Edit: then again fiancé says if their house is not around the area it wouldn't affect so I'm back to the they didn't work much theory
