Most people from beginning of November have not had theirs sent yet. There's a big delay for some unexplained, hidden reason

Ha! How ridiculous. One thing after another. But I guess they can’t keep them forever.

Okay... 30/6 filer.

What do you think my chances are of being in the States by April? 😳 Realistically, not optimistically.

I really want to book something for us both but I'm a bit hesitant to because if this whole mess of a process. 😒

I genuinely wouldn't risk it.  Things seem soooooooooo unpredictable right now, due to the NVC fiasco on top of the USCIS slowdown.

Who knows what will happen.  I'm not trying to be negative or anything - but you asked for a realistic opinion so... yeah.

Yeeeah, I know. This is maddening.

Fingers crossed someone intervenes with this and gets things straight, organised, and running at a decent pace.

Have you heard anything yet? Ooooh, how did the Skype house viewings go? 😁

K that seems calming. It’s stupid though lol.

I guess uscis is taking their sweet time with sending the petitions to nvc too. It’s been 12 days since approval.

Yeah for some reason approved petitions are sitting at NVC for more than a month...Right now the expected timeline for NVC is about 6 weeks... People approved in late October are getting their case numbers just now. Pathetic.

They found a way to slow down even the faster process. What used to take less than 2 weeks now takes almost 2 months

I can't even make any plans because I do not know what they'll decide to slow down next...

Its not NVC holding the cases... its USCIS... they aren't even SENDING them to NVC for that time.  The delay (again) is with USCIS, not NVC.

Umm sigh this is hard but I honestly don’t think it’s realistic.....

im NOA1 6/9 NOA 2 12/8 and i think I will be able to enter the states in April. With all the backlogs everywhere and the huge waits.

I wish you all the best.... this is ridiculous but we will get through. Your over halfway there.

Oops, I actually meant to write CSC not NVC. I wonder why they're sitting there though. From what I know USCIS is now waiting to send them in big chunks to NVC...Or once a month

That’s exactly the problem. They are waiting 1-2 months to even send them out, according to other threads and numbers.

Then, they will sit at nvc for 6 weeks at least.

All together, worst case scenario this could be another 4 month wait until we enter interview phase. Which might be another 1-2 months until VOH.

So worst case scenario this could be another 4-6 month wait until POE ( if everything goes “smoothly” (no additional background check etc))

But remember not everything will be worst case. Let’s pray for everybody here.

No, I don't think they sit at NVC for 6 weeks. From what I've seen they usually leave NVC about a week after you get your case number. But with this long wait you never know how long it'll be taking now...Since they've got a bigger amount of cases to assign numbers to the wait will probably increase.

June 6th filer here, end of day 196 today. Here is a thought. I am willing to bet USCIS have to reach each date of the month within a certain period of time, and then also a certain number of applications on that date to meet some sort of quota. That's the only thing that could make sense. So naturally applications  will get left behind since USCIS priorities would be to meet what they need to for that day and if they have time, work a few previous apps that happened to be in the wrong box at the wrong time and are still waiting ....

with that said, because of the way that would work, the applications that didn't make the cut for processing quotas for the day or week, could end up waiting an indefinite amount of time depending on the diligence of the employees or how strict the processing quotas are...

how bout they offer half days on Saturdays as overtime to process JUST the forgotten apps?

They need to implement a no app left behind policy .....

I get the feeling based on reading a lot of these posts here that USCIS is lurking on this forum and using what they read as a method of picking and choosing applications.  Just a hunch but for sure squeaky wheels aren't getting grease from what I see.  My approach....keep a low profile.

could be, but i seriously doubt it . I don't think they care enough on a personal basis to do that. and its time consuming. at this point tho, who really knows. there have been plenty of VJ Forumers who post a ton to receive approval.

The difference is, that once they recieve your case at NVC, you CAN sweet talk the call centre to simply assign your case number there and then whilst you are on a call.  I have heard of this happening alot...  Things become alot more controllable with the right attitude, and a little luck of which person answers your call.  But there is definitely more hope at that stage - they just have to receive the case first............................................ and theres the f*****g problem.

I sincerely hope you’re right.

From what I’ve seen on the statistics the petition usually stays at NVC 4-6 weeks until sent to the consulate.
