They are told that they will look into the inquiry and should expect an answer in about 6 weeks.  Yep, that is the answer they will get.

I think that its technically been 6 weeks or close to it since I submitted one of those ... I haven't heard anything... so people don't get your hopes up if you take this route... I think it actually created more of a wait for me... but then again who really knows................

I'd say do it!

Fly down, just have proof of a return flight, and get insurance just in case lol.

The return flight info is the max they have ever asked of me and a work badge (no letter).

I have visited about 6 times this year,. I drove once.

You just have to be honest and sincere. Let them know you will be coming back.

Let them know you miss him and you just want to spend some time with him.

I'm currently trying to find cheap last minute flights for the 22nd, but it's sooo expensive :(

Is Skyscanner or Momondo.co.uk any good to you? I guess being so close to Christmas, it's gonna be a bloody tough time to find anything reasonable. 😭

I hope the scan shows some action from yesterday and today. Now that they are not consistently updating the online system we are even further removed from useful information.

I wonder how many of those "received" are actually approved or RFE but never updated online? Did someone try and determine that before? We could extrapolate based on the VJ members who received a hard copy but no website update.

Many many people get NOA2 approval in the mail without any updates online. However, RFEs are almost always updated online. After that though the status can still remain as RFE or RFE response received and the case has already been approved without update. So many cases who are still "received" are actually approved! Everyone make sure you have informed delivery and check your mail because you might have something in your mailbox ;)

I get sad every day when I check informed delivery, I did see someone who has informed delivery in May thread who received the NOA 2 but the informed delivery did not "inform" them of it

I'm gonna start putting my money where all the faulty notifications methods exist in order to create a more positive probability in receiving my next notification ......

Thanks!!!  I don't have any kind of work proof but I'm willing to beg :P  I hear you about the flights!!! Expensive last minute flights are one of the reasons why we can't be together over the holidays. If we'd had time to prepare...if we'd known we'd still be waiting...then fine, but...we all know that's not what happened. Dammit

Here's hoping they get to us before Christmas. Maybe it'll happen, who knows.
