183 days of waiting. And the problem is that calling USCIS is absolutely meaningless, the officers ask the case number and say that they are processing May 1 cases, just as the website, So what is the point of asking the number if they  just say what is publically accessible?

Yeah, I thought of pushing back on the May 1 case answer ... saying your website has not been updated since September 30, so in the last 2 and half months you have not worked a case? MUST be nice.

I did push back on that when I called this past week. I said "Please do not tell me about the website again. I am surprised you have that viewable to the public considering it is so outdated that it is useless. I do not care about what cases you were working on months ago, and you and I both know they are working on June cases right now. What you are doing by keeping me separate from my fiance and our son is cruel."

The person just goes silent, but what is there to respond to me anyway? There is nothing for them to say. Perhaps "I am sorry for our incompetence and the increased fees were used to increase management wages instead of adding much-needed adjudicators."

So don't feel bad about not saying anything because I did say something and it didn't result in anything positive for me.

I have drafted a 2 page letter, I am not sure if I should send it or not. I have contact info to send to White House, Senators, Representatives. I do not know if I should send out 5-6 copies to the various contacts, send it to one or two, or not send it at all.

I just want to see some progress, RFE or otherwise. the thought of my case under a pile of cases from later in June or July makes me............:ranting:

Day 175 here, and laughing at my own naivete back when I joined this site in June and thought 'golly, my timeline says NOA2 around 10/1! Maybe I can spend the first Christmas with my wife this year! As heartbreaking as it is to still be separated by thousands of miles of ocean and 24 hours of flight I suppose it's a blessing in disguise since the company I drive for lost a bunch of contracts (and have shown no interest in hunting up more in the past three months since the news came down the line that so many of us were losing our steady jobs and getting shunted back on the very slim pickings of STAT runs... every dang day, corporate says 'you've got a route coming, the guy that runs the company with your route is in Europe, he'll back back this month, don't worry. That's been the excuse for 3 months, anyone over in Europe, do you mind kicking this guy out and sending him home?!  XD) so I've been under-employed. I've got an interview today with the USPS that would solve the sponsor earning minimums problem (mom and a good (great) friend have both said that they'd co-sponsor if I need it, but even so, I still desperately need a better job all of the sudden), and I'm hoping that it all works out, because I want my fiancee to be my wife so so badly!

On another bright side, I suppose it means at this point, I will definitely have her surprise wedding shawl all knit up and blocked by the time she gets here!

I'm just hoping at this point that she'll be here before my birthday in May! XD Looking at past timelines for NZ K-1 Visas, the embassy is fairly quick over there, but she's got to fly or drive up to Christchurch from Dunedin to do her physical, and even after she gets approved, we've got to arrange transpo for her cat, and the pet transport company wants a minimum of 21 days notice so they can drop off the crate for kitty to get used to and TBH we will have to wait a little bit for the obscene ticket costs to come down from the holiday gouge. So if we get NOA2 in Jan, Embassy will hopefully have the info in Feb, she'll get to Interview by March, and be here by April ::ugly sobbing:: Gotta keep on the positives dangit! We'll be wives as soon as is humanly possible, and till then, we vidchat three or four times a week and instagram message every waking moment daily, and I will get to pick her up at the end of the winter in Chicago and I will make a stupid massive scene cause I will absolutely refuse to let her go again, cause I probably won't be able to believe she's really really here again, and that this time I won't have to take her back to the airport in just a few short weeks.

So! What's everyone else's positives for the day? :D

That was my whole personal timeline, and it has got to work because March 30th my lease ends and I'll be homeless, except I am a July filer and I'm afraid I wont have a NOA2 by Jan! But seeing approvals for mid June has giving me a little bit of hope!
