Don't plan. It's setting yourself up for possible disappointment because there is no way to plan or predict this process that we're all currently in. It will only add to the anxiety and frustration you likely already have in awaiting the next step/answer.

My fiancé and I never started planning a wedding when we got engaged in April because we knew this process was unpredictable. We're likely doing a courthouse thing after he gets here so that we can be legally married and move on to the next step(s) towards naturalization. The wedding is just a party - it isn't a prerequisite for marriage. The marriage is what matters. You can always have a wedding/reception later down the road. For us personally, it's financial. It costs so much for this process, we know realistically we can't afford the wedding we want right now anyhow. We do plan to have one maybe next year, or 2019, when we can enjoy the planning part of it and can put more money into it. I am a strong believer that partying aside, we all deserve a glorious day surrounded by both families (if possible) and friends, those who have supported us from day one, celebrating this milestone and this accomplishment we have all fought for. So I do recommend that. :)

last month, in order to distract myself I used to plan about my wedding dress and our wedding, but now looking at wedding or marriage show on TV make me want to throw TV to USCIS officer !

it makes me sad and crazy !

I feel like my future depends on USCIS at this point and I hate it !! I stopped planning anything and only counting the days and hope USCIS will have mercy on us ! Keep positive

May the force be with us !

Exactly - we weren't prepared for the amount of costs! AOS is INSANE. As much as we're all spending on this, from beginning to end, is about as much as one would pay for a basic wedding, lol. At this point, I would be happy - and ready - to go down to the courthouse the weekend after he gets here because I'm so ready to be married to him. I've been ready, but even more so since we got engaged last spring. When you find your person, you just want to start living your life together. A wedding used to be something I dreamed about. Now I hardly think about one.

I told him every time that me and him plus his mom in the courthouse will do. I just can't wait to be married to him. And yes, you're right. The right person will make you think unselfishly. True love will make you realized that nothing matters. I used to dream of wearing a beautiful princess style wedding dress on my big day but then I ask myself, for what? I don't need those. I just need to start my life with my Mr. Hall ASAP. I don't care if he'll give me a $2 wedding ring. All I care about right now is to be with him. To do everything with him - literally everything. :(

Hmmm... I find your lack of faith disturbing. It'll get quicker. I promise. 😂 I could keep up the Star Wars quotes all day.

HOW GOOD WAS THE LAST JEDI THOUGH?!

I might go see it again. Take my mind off all this.

Is someone in the USCIS office from late yesterday, all night, through to this morning? My app has been going crazy with updated cases.

Nothing Friday, bombarded last night and this morning. 😳

Who ever you are... Thank you. Please find us and we will give you holiday/Christmas themed muffins. 😁

What app are you using? Thanks

Oh... I wasn't being mean... It was a Darth Vader quote. 😳😳😳 I don't do mean.

I've already seen The Last Jedi. I cried so much at Carrie Fisher. I looked up to her. She showed you could be a princess and kick butt! Love her. So sad she passed a year ago. 😢😭

Really hope you get your other half soon.

Sending all the loves. 💜
