she already gave me an ultimatum 3hrs ago

I feel sorry for you, but it is a good to have discussion to have with your future spouse.   These are trying times apart and it is difficult.  even approval of this step tomorrow the NVC is taking longer too and then the interview.  Take it easy.  spend time talking about what you want in life.  If it is meant to be it will.  Do not give up, we are all in this because we have met the person we want to be with, it just so happened they are not USCs.   I have already talked with my other if we are not approved what we will do.  first appeals then moving there is a possibility.  If this is the person you are to be with it will happen.  Do not let the stress get to you both.

It is really hard to expedite health concern cases like that but these are the criteria and you can call uscis to ask about it.

For k1 mostly humanitarian and military expedite cases are seen.

edit: I just checked your timeline and it would be meaningless for you to apply right now. Them deciding if you can expedite and you sending papers etc would already be a month or so

Thank you for your answer. So what you are saying is we might get an update (either approved or RFE) before Chirstmas ? I feel like it wont come and if so, I do believe our case would be push way back probably til Feb next year. My fiance is agaisnt my idea too, he said I can do a research if I want to but he doesnt think a letter would speed up the process.

Your dates are pretty much there already so I believe just a little more.

the thing is even if you expedite it, you'll be stuck with everyone else in NVC. Same goes if you get approved now. So yes not the case itself but interview would be around February. I don't really think the case would be pushed that far with your date. There are people who got expedited the petition but waiting for NVC right now.

But unless this nvc problem is solved even with a noa2 everyone is just waiting for that extra time. And I believe once they solve this, NVC will also go back to its normal times. Because this problem also occurs because of uscis.

Thank you for your answer. Understanding the situation helps me calm down. Hopefully, things will work out just fine for all of us.

Try to keep calm, this is definitely a tiring process. Many of us have gone through the same. My fiancé and I have friends that have done k1 and in less than 5 months had Visa in hand. So this wait has affected us all at one time or another. I remember one of our frustrating moments where my fiancé even asked my if I really filed our petition. But it was out of frustration and just missing me and the kids. So try to stay calm, give her time to blow off some steam. Remember the frustration comes from missing eachother through this time apart. Just let her have a day or even 2 to just chill out and calm herself down. But don’t push an argument about something that we cannot control. It’s ok to let some tears fall, don’t keep that bottled up, trust me on that. If you have someone in her country that can help you, send her flowers, something to let her know how special she is to you. When she is calmed down then remind her how special she is and that everyday that passes is one day closer to your forever.

trust me when your day comes, it feel like a huge weight lifted off your shoulders.

hang in there buddy. We praying for you and your approval to come.

What doesn’t kill your relationship, will only make it stronger.

My fiancée was also moody, but I did like @Ana Maria and @Shawn & Rizalynsuggest... I relaxed, gave her her space and she called me and apologized for her behavior. We talked it out and things are smoother now.

I’m a beneficiary and I’m dealing with this worse and worse. Of course, that is not possible that I will give up or my feelings will change or I will give my fiancé ultimatum cause it’s not his fault!! He’s mad too but I’m definitely dealing with this process much worse. I need to make some decisions about my work finally and I’m so confused! Everything is taking away my excitement - I don’t even feel like looking for a dress since it all seems to me unreal.. I’m really down and feel like crying every morning. I know the end of it is soon but I’m just mad that we have to be apart so long and not be able to share many moments together.  I’m so scared we won’t get NOA 2 this month ... sooo freaking scared.

@vocaledge what you are doing - it’s just amazing! Thank you!

I'm the beneficiary too, and its really crazy.  I had plans in place to be out there by December at the latest, so moving into January, I'm truly treading water in terms of my home and everything else that has to be in place before I can go...  I can only hope that the letter to the congressman helps to at least get my case looked at, even though the NVC issue means I'm unlikely to have my NVC case number by the end of the year as I now want...   Gosh - I might not even have my NOA2 by then.

This is truly crazy.

And thank you - I'm not amazing though - we're all in this together and I just do what little I can.  You're all amazing for sharing your experiences and keeping the positive atmosphere going too - it really helps me even when I'm quiet.  I'm struggling emotionally just like the rest of you.  I never expected THIS long... not even in my worst case scenarios.

To everyone struggling, finding things difficult, feeling like there is no hope, feeling pessimistic, run down, emotionally drained...

I'm sending love to you and your loved one(s). Yes, this is hard, but will be worth it in the end. Just remember why we are doing this. Forget the sh!t for now and talk about the exciting things you'll be doing next year. It's within reaching distance now.

We're nearly there. Exhausted... But nearly there. 💜 The main thing, we're in this together. I've never found such a good group of people full of love, help, and support.

I can't offer much help as I have no bloody clue what's going on half the time, so I offer you this (what seems to be my 'thing' now)...

A "Community" hug. 😘

Good morning everyone. Here's to being another step closer. 💜

I give up you won!

I'm binge watching community this weekend 🤷‍♀️
