Nope....According to some Tier 2 the petitions are done with CSC yet they're just sitting there waiting to be mailed out...Apparently USCIS now waits to mail them in big chunks for some reason.

Well I hope that chunk is getting big!

Hi everyone. Congrats to members who have received the NOA2.... the others like me, just wait,,,..

I have a question. My fiancee (beneficiary) is planning to bring some money (saving) from her home country. Which are the pros and cons? Do I have to report this money to IRS? Is this money considered income tax once we get married and file taxes?

Thanks,

I was just researching on that.

It looks like because this income is from when she wasn't a resident and already taxed under another country it is not taxed.( it may need to be reported on taxes as it is)

and you don't need to inform IRS as the bank will do it. But to keep the paper trail so if asked you can show where the money came from :)

This is interesting... what if the money is a gift from your home country which you are transferring over?

If it is a gift then you specify in taxes as a gift. And still keep the paper trail (sent receipt or such) I think there may be a limit on this. There's an awesome tax and finances section in the forum.

this was my thread you can reach that topic from there.

If still need to be reported on the Taxes, is this considered income tax? if so, I think it will need to be taxable again?

before I submitted the KI-129F to USCIS, my fiancee visited me in US and before she arrived, she sent me some money electronically because she didn't want to have cash with her. I'm thinking to do the same thing once her K1 visa is approved.

Thanks for the info.

I don't think it's taxable again. As it was not earned neither as a US resident or when she is living in US. But I would go through that topic I put.

I am also researching on that.
