Hi everyone,  May 30 filer here. I sent a case Inquiry via email last night my time and got a reply this morning from USCIS.  It says they sent a letter of request for further evidence on December 18 and it will arrive in 14 days. I just want to ask how long do they usually approve Cases with RFe? I know every case is different but what is the common range of waiting the approval after sending the evidence being asked by USCIS?  We hired an agency BTW to help us prepare the packet to avoid RFe but unfortunately we got a notice of RFE.

So you know, shoegum responded to a fellow member who sent an inquiry to NVC research email address. You have to attach a scan of the NOA2, The NOA2 scan that member sent was not legible according to the NVC response. Shoegum advised to sent the scan attachment as a .pdf.

If you want to inquire about your status at NVC after your NOA2, then you need to email the NVC with the petitioner’s and beneficiary’s full names and DOBs, your WAC number plus a scan of your NOA2 in order for them to find your status for you.

It's DS-160 for K1 visa and only Petition  case  number  u got from USCIS  starting  with WAC...is required.

You don't have to send any email, however you can send an inquiry email to NVC if your case has not reached NVC for over 30 days. 

 

Per the spreadsheet the current average is 45 days.

 

If your case has not reached NVC for over 30 days, send a email to nvcresearch@state.gov with the following details.

1. Place case number in subject line. (this is the WAC #)

2. Attach copy of your approval notice (Scan and attach copy of NOA2 approval notice to the email)

3. Write petitioner and beneficiary full name and date of birth in the body of email

4. Explain to them your situation (when approval was received and that your want to know the status of your case)

HI guys, 

 

I may be having a blonde moment here, but did anyone else's case number on tracker on CEAC give this message? It's under immigrant visa and I wasn't aware they  assign an interview date;- is that correct??!

 

Hang in there everyone who's waiting for their case number at NVC, took us 7 weeks to get ours!

Mine actually said that too, even though we actually have to book our own interview in Canada. Not sure about your consulate though.

Congrats to @Shoegum on receiving your NOA2. And @Trinab80, watching out for your case number every single day. Hang in there. <3

 

In my situation, have been waiting 38 days for NVC number, fiance has been calling every day with no luck.

 

It's been overwhelming, with today being the worst. So today while on the phone to fiance, I bought a ticket to see him for 23 days, flying this Sunday. 

 

We've already decided that even if we get approved, I'd stay in Australia until after my first cousin's wedding in February, then after that I'm all his, and can move to US with no worries (assuming that I'd get my NVC, medical and interview done by mid Feb). Since I'm in the NVC stage, I'm hoping I don't get told that I can't enter the US, but fiance is positive that I won't since I'm from Australia which is a very low-none risk country, and I can enter on a tourist visa (ESTA). 

 

I'm just so happy that I'll be spending Christmas and New Years and many more days with him.

It has now been 206 days and still no NOA 2 approval 😢. I never got a RFE or anything. Been waiting since 5/30/2017. I even hired a lawyer 😢. WAC1790346076 .

Just want to say congrats to those that received their NOA2 this week and case #s from NVC. As we head into Christmas, I wanna which everyone and Merry Christmas (or Happy Holidays if you celebrate something else), and I hope you all are safe and have a joyous time!!!

 

For those that are still waiting with me for a NOA2 or anything at this point....I will keep you all in prayer and hopefully before the day is over Santa and his reindeer will drop something in our mailboxes today or tomorrow. Either way, chin up and smile because believe it or not we are closer today than we were yesterday and the days before.

 

And I just want to thank you all that have said so many encouraging words of kindness and sent much love and positivity towards my Reni and I. Believe it or not, WE ARE ALL FAMILY!!! Blood and DNA has nothing to do with what makes a family and I have a love and respect for each and everyone of you!!! I wouldn't have made this far without you pulling me through this. Thanks for the laughs, thanks for letting me vent, and thanks for your strength!!!!
