Okay, a bunch of questions everybody...

and I’m trying to figure out an average timeline after NOA2.

if I got it right, we need an average (at the moment) of 30 days for the NVC to produce a Case File Number.

[When this number will finally exists it’s very possible that nobody will tell us about it, unless we call NVC].

Then we should track the status of our file online and we should see:

IN TRANSIT, I believe right after the NVC produce the number they will say they sent the file to the embassy in the beneficiary’s  country, and that’s transit.

ARRIVED, when the local embassy in the beneficiary’s country gets the file.

READY, when the embassy is ready to schedule the interview!

Does anybody know how long it takes for each one of these steps Transit, Arrived, Ready?

After that I assume the time we need to wait to schedule the medical/interview is due to the local embassy.

When our visa is approved (because all our visas will be approved 😉) do they tell us immediately?

Do we have to get the passport through the mail or is it possible to go back to the embassy to pick it up?

How long it takes them to have it ready with the visa on?

So in total, how long it usually is from interview to visa in hands?

Is it a good idea to bring my fiancé to the interview with me? Would they let him in?

thanks to anyone that read my post this far :jest:

Double thanks to who will answer to some of these 1000 questions!!! :D

Third time my fiance tried to reach tier 2 only to have them not call back within the time frame they gave him!!

It is useless to even call tier 2, I have talked to them a few times and they tell me the same nonsense the tier 1 told me. Their answer is always the same, " your case is still in the normal time frame"  blah blah blah! The whole process is a joke. They should hire more people, or at least fire the ones that do not perform well. There is no way it should take 8-10 months for a  fiancee visa. I know a few people it only took 4 months a year ago.

The case I highlighted above is or I guess I should say was the ONLY case left for them to work and now the next case that particular adjudicator works HAS TO work my case next. Because all the cases have been worked and the cases after mine are I-130.

This is has to be my week!!! Please!!!

Oh they better be working on your case!! I have so many people sending the prayers up for you. You are literally in mine and my fiance's prayers everyday!

I had my interview 2 weeks ago and my passport is expected to be here tomorrow or Thursday the latest! But tbh, there were huge delays on my case after the interview, usually 10 days from what I heard.

you can get it by mail or pick it up at the embassy, yes. They tell you immediately, they will handle out a sheet with instructions if you need to send them any extra document and in this case I think they will review your petition one last time before approving it. If they keep your passport, it's always a good sign.

about taking your fiance to the i terview, it depends on the embassy and the CO, when I had mine I was alone, but there was a couple and the CO called only the beneficiary, butbw petitioner could at least wait right there with the other people that would get interviewed.

for the steps at NVC, it took a week for me after I got my case number, approximately.

sorry for starting by the last questions to the first lol just the way im reading them

Well, right now my fiance got an informed delivery notification but it didn't show whether it was NOA2 or not. So if it is it means they probably approved us earlier because they updated the tracker to approved just today. So I was thinking maybe tier 2 didn't call us back because we had already been approved. But I can only guess  And yeah, to think that it took just 4 months a year ago is crazy compared to now...

They always called me back, but never gave me any more info than tier 1

They actually gave us quite a bit of info, like telling us we got RFE on october 14th but that it hadn't been generated yet. The tracker updated for RFE on the 24th so 10 days later

You have to put in the WAC part - so 922 - then the rest of the number.

Thanks! Had a hard time trying to figure that out lol. I suppose desperation is making me more impatient...!!!!! No news since day October 30th. Idk why it appears in my notification that the case was approved on 27th Oct but in the phone line and internet it says the 30th — maybe the day they put it in the system?

Please I really need hear sweet words from NVC this week. This is causing me bad health :( NOA2 isn’t the “end” as we thought :(((
