We called USCIS again today to make sure the other tier2 didn't lie to us about our petition getting sent.

Shocker. It wasn't true. Our petition hasn't been sent yet, NOA2 Nov 7th.

I am SO mad. They literally lied to us!!! The guy took 10 mins to check something and then LIED about it.

At least now we know we won't be getting our case number any time soon.... Great.

This is dumb af...I knew they weren't consistent with their information but LYING about that? Who knows what else they lie about...Imagine being told you're approved then have someone else tell you you're not...

I'd suggest calling ANOTHER tier 2 just to confirm that the second one wasn't an idiot.

Holy #######, how are they so unreliable?? The backlog I can understand, but there is no excuse for not being able to provide accurate and consistent information to the people paying for this shitty service.

Hahaah. Maybe both are idiots (sorry, I'm mad).

He will probably call again tomorrow. Let's see what they say then...

Hey all. i was just thinking of providing my tax forms for the last 3 years but then I was wondering...for the affidavit of support, do I need to provide bank statements too? if so, how many months of bank statements do we need to provide?

You need to provide, tax forms/transcripts, at least 3-6 months of paystub from your current employer, employer verification letter that shows the date of hire, your annual salary or hourly rate (depends on how you are paid), your title, and your current status (whether you are full time or part time). You can provide or should provide bank statements only if you are providing proof such as CDs, savings or other sources of income that will help push you over the poverty line. If you are self-employed, typically bank statements are also used for proof. Other than that, bank statements don't really show proof of income; they show spending patterns. Just because a person receives a direct deposit and it shows on the bank statement does not mean that they are currently employed which is why the other supporting documents that I listed above is needed.

Use this as a reference to see what you should provide as financial proof:

Hi everyone, it doesn't help any of us, however I found this in the New York times today.  It doesn't mention K1 visa's but I can't help feel that the same slow down is across the board. I posted it in June files 2 as well.

@The Squirrel congrats on your approval!! well deserved. Thank you along with the countless others who have been a pillar of support for this group. I can understand the need to take a break from all of this. Like @Trinab80 I will be visiting my fiancée next month so hopefully we'll have good news to bring with us.

You know what's crazy....I think you and I are gonna get approved at the same time. Just looking at our timelines and the dates being so close together and of course we're both filing for a JA fiancé, I just have this feeling that we will both get our NOA2s at the same time.

I just can't tell you when that time will be.

Guys I kind of doubt anyone knows the answer to this, but it's worth a shot. We saw a lot of the same NOA2 dates (mostly Oct 27-31) receive case numbers from NVC at very different times. Since these were all approved in the same range of 5 days, I'm wondering if they were all shipped at the same time, and it took NVC 2 weeks or so to process all of them, so that's why there's up to a 2 week or so difference in when people got the NVC number...

The other possibility is that they were not mailed at the same time, and that's why there's a difference in NVC received date... I'm definitely overthinking this but I'm so tired of hearing "No, we don't have your case. Just wait to hear something from us". Just trying to predict the unpredictable... when will I get my case number! :(

That's the only two reasons I can think of as well.

No bank statements but yes proof of accounts. The proof of accounts provided by the bank will show current balances and the average balance over the last year, date opened. They then sign and stamp, Its a free service at Chase

Hey guys,  I am starting to compile all the documents needed for packet 3. I bought a binder, clear heavy duty sheet protectors , and divider sheets to organize all my documents. After compiling 75% of the stuff, I realized this may not be the most efficient way to display documents for the interview. I don't like file folders because I'm afraid of documents falling out. Any suggestions guys on how to organize all the doc's? The lawyer did it for us when we submitted the petition originally. I need something to focus on so I am putting it together for the interview.

Any and all suggestions/ideas are much appreciated! Thank you!
