Case was approved today!  NOA 1 May 26th, NOA2 December 19th!

:))))))))

To any other May filers waiting... keep the faith.  Don't stress.  It will come!  I found out after a callback from Tier 2 today... she told me "congratulations, you were approved yesterday".  The online system didn't show.  As soon as I got off the phone, it was updated to "approved" online as well.

Congratulations!!!  :)

@BCILUWAMH if you check the case status on CEAC https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Do you put your NVC number on INMMIGRANT or NONINMMIGRANT visa? Which one works for you? Right know I'm losing my s _ _ _ because if I check it I cant put it out on NONIMMIGRANT visa and I did understand that  K1 was a NONIMMIGRANT. Soooo.... I only check it on IMMIGRANT and it says:

"Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask."

It does seem like a AOS/NVC stage because of the visa interview and NVC has received all the required items and I'm freaking out.

People that have already received the NVC number, does it happen to you?

This process has been so tiring that right now I'm overthinking EVERYTHING and I'm always aware of possible things going wrong.

From what I have researched, the K1 Visa is considered "nonimmigrant" because it is only for 90 days. Remember you have 90 days to get married and file I-485 AOS. It is similar to the nonimmigrant visa's used to visit another country that tourists would apply for. When you apply for AOS (at that point you are married and the beneficiary is remaining in your country), you are changing your nonimmigrant status to immigrant status. But on the ceac system, I don't think it matters what you pick.

"Do not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and

petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, that is superior to every frame of mind, shall be garrisoning your hearts and your apprehensions in Christ Jesus."

THANK YOU !!! It means a world to me. Yes, I got the NOA2 on the 7th, it was dated Dec 4th, and until today I got no email, app update, scan, nothing, just a hard copy letter in the mail.

I can't believe what they are doing to you, it is abomination of the fairness. Terrible. I'll be here, I needed a break, I'll explain it below. Just hold a bit longer, it will be. Please send the warmest greetings to the Island from cold New York. Love you very much !

Miss you guys, thank youuuuuu !!!! :jest::jest::jest:

Great to be back, miss you all very much !!! I'll explain all below. Hip Hip Hooray !!! :jest:

NO Sirrrrr. Took a leave of absence to retrieve this little bit of sanity that I had left. But you Sir .... CONGRATULATIONS !!! It was well deserved! You did a gargantuan job for this community and I appreciate it, and thank you for the millionth time !!! I will remember you as long as I live.

Here is how it went .... I got the approval in mail on 7th Thursday and was beside myself, totally unexpected. Friday, I woke up in fog, checked in here and let you guys know that I was approved. Same day as I was driving I decided to take a 10 day "mental vacation", I felt I needed to get some rest. I slept that weekend 9th + 10th like a baby, all day all night. Would get up, eat, refresh and fall back out. I never realized how much this all weighed on me until the burden was lifted off my shoulders. It was a relief that can not be put into words, something surreal. Although I was dying to come here, I banned myself from doing so.

My self-ban expired yesterday, so last night I logged in and started reading this topic, from page 30 something where I was last. I read every single post you guys wrote out of respect to all of you, because you guys kept me going, and THANK YOU for that. So today I finished 50+ pages, and than said hello with my little crazy squirrel :D. So now, I have 100 or so pages to read on the June topic, they all deserve it, every letter they wrote was love and pain, and I will absorb it all, and then I will check back with them. That's my little family.

Miss you all again, and congrats to all that moved forward, NOA2 or NVC, and POE crowd I envy you (in a good loving way - no sin), and you guys that are holding on, don't give up, what doesn't kill you makes you only stronger. LOVE YOU ALL !

Congratulations and thanks for your words.

I think when it gets to some embassies it counted as immigrant visa. And you can only find your case number under that and only schedule interview under immigrant too. I don't know if this applies to all embassies.

@Shoegum @Naes @The Squirrel just a scattershot question...

About the "K1 Visa NOA2 to NVC Receive Time Tracker - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1k57PdywNRpUqytomJxMzz6_7DsMqpi52DgnaYt9FyC8/edit?usp=sharing".

I am not clear on the purpose of the "Current Days Waiting" column. When I move my mouse over it, it does not provide a nifty "Pavilion X" explanation. Does the "Receive" mean you have received the NVC Case#?

I meant just mention in the "updated letter of intent to marry" that your petition was approved and you still want to get married.

No need to send copy of NOA 2 to embassy as interview could not be scheduled unless petition already approved.

Steven

ok thank you

Yes in  "Current Days Waiting" column if you see text  Received then it means their case was received at NVC. Then check the next column NOA2 to NVC it will list the number of days it took for their case to reach NVC from USCIS.

If  "Current Days Waiting" column lists a number then that is the number of days the user is still waiting for their case to reach NVC.

Yes, same, just need 2 of  I-134, and pay $265*2 , and for medical. But I’m not sure all country has the same process, you should check the embassy website or something in your country. We are similar, I have a son and will take him, got NoA2 5th this month!

What do you mean I-134? Is this the form we filled-up at the beginning of the process?

I-134 is the affidavit of support form to fill.

i believe you need 1 for each member. So it would be 2 forms for you and your child.
