Oh congrats! Sorry if I can ask, how was your case expedited?

Fellow worriers:

I just called USCIS again, and asked to be transfered to a tier 2. I didn't think they'd transfer me on a Friday afternoon, but actually the call volume is very low at the moment, and it only took them 15 minutes to call me back.

The tier 2 officer I spoke with was really kind, and put me on hold to research my case. After he confirmed my details and everything he said "I can see that you called us and spoke with a tier 2 two days ago on Wednesday, December 13th. I want to apologize that you weren't update, but I can confirm that we mailed your case yesterday on Thursday, December 14th to the NVC, so it is confirmed and is on its way now"

Guys I highly recommend calling USCIS and asking them if they have at least mailed your petition. It did bring a sense of relief for me so at least I know it's on the way.

I also reached out to my congressman's office, emailed NVCresearch, and called NVC, and none of them were able to confirm things like the tier 2 did for me. Crossing our fingers for our group. Hopefully we will see some more case numbers come out next week.

I also write an inquiry to csc an their response was this.

Thank you for your inquiry. Your I-129F is currently in  transit. Please allow ample time for the the National Visa Center (NVC) to process your I-129F.

So I'm hoping next week 🤗

Yep seems like ours were in the same batch! Hopefully we both get it next week :)

Now I wonder how long it'll take for NVC to get it and assign a case number.

Same. I'm guessing at least a week or two.

oct 31 ,..this wait is killing now..another week over..my 7 week completed and nothing yet.:(

Did you at @Kirin2002 call a tier 2 and make sure it was mailed? I finally got a tier 2 today who confirmed mine was mailed yesterday, so at least I know it's on the way now.

This is getting quite ridiculous...Have you tried contacting a congressman or ombudsman for the NVC delay?

@vml if CSC hasn't mailed yours yet I'd get your congressman involved. A staffer in my congressman's office made an inquiry for me on Wednesday, and even tho she got a reply yesterday that it was still "waiting to be mailed", when I called and talked to a tier 2 today they told me it was mailed yesterday finally. It could just be a coincidence, but I think having her call did help get it shipped out yesterday.

Ok just got a call back from a very nice tier 2 officer (last name Lopez), he gave me more information than most of the tier 2 officers I've spoken with and was very sympathetic to our situation. I'll summarize as completely as possible:

- Not to worry, no cases around our time were sent to a "california visa center" (don't think there is such a thing, he said he thought the person here who quoted that may have been referring to the California service center by mistake

- For my case at least (and most likely all others around my approval time NOA2 Nov 2), the I-129F is still sitting at CSCit has not been mailed yet

- He said in the system he can see that it has cleared all steps at CSC, and is only waiting to be mailed

- He said while this wait time of 6+ weeks is unusually long, we are all in the same boat, and it is the average time for the time being

- He said he believes that the petitions should arrive at NVC before the holidays

- He also issued a request to CSC to actually send the petitions to NVC

- He said to not worry about petitions expiring, because CSC will issue another approval with a later date if a petition is close to expiring due to slowdowns/backlogs on their end. He said he doesn't anticipate this happening though, and that all of ours should arrive at NVC before this happens.

Hope this is helpful to anyone else in the same boat. I'm going to cool it on calling NVC every day probably until next week. Since all of our petitions are just sitting at CSC, it's not of any use to keep bugging NVC and keep getting the same answer. I"ll probably try again on Monday just to see if it arrived, but am still not going to get my hopes up.

Update for those of you who missed it! I called a tier 2 officer today and he did confirm my petition was mailed to NVC yesterday!!

My congressman also inquired for me this week, and it could be a coincidence but I think it probably helped get it shipped.

Go to their website, click on "Help with a Federal Agency" and follow the guidelines for submitting the signed release of information to them.

Called NVC today - no luck. Same response - send and e-mail to us and we will check your status. Tried to call USCIS - lady did not transfer me to tier 2 and was giving me same stupid sentence - it can take 90 days to be transferred from USCIS to NVS. When asked if it actually has been mailed or not she told it is sending automatically after being approved. I am just so sick of this ####### they are giving us, really...

Hi all, I'm a May 26 NOA1, still nothing.

I spoke to Tier 2 for first time today.  The officer was very friendly.  He said my case is still pending, and in his system he says that my normal processing time will be "up" in 25 days.  So basically, he says they have to review my case in the next 25 days.  He says from his view he sees a countdown to when my case would be "outside" normal processing time, and apparently it says -25 days.  He says he can't even put an inquiry in for it until after then.

Has anyone else heard similar?

I feel like now they're just making up rules as they go along...No your case already is outside of normal processing time and people who waited less than you were able to get an inquiry from a tier 2...This is stupid. Maybe if it were a different person they'd tell you something else and give you an inquiry.

That’s crazy ! I didn’t know others in my timeframe have gotten inquiries! I feel like timing is fishy as my congressman inquired 15 days ago and they heard back the standard “30-45” days ... which puts me at approximately 25 more days .. coincidence or not ?
